This is a drive-up motel, not a hotel, which I wasn't aware of, literally minutes from the Biltmore estate. The staff were very nice and friendly. You access your room from the sidewalk outside, which makes me nervous as a single woman traveling alone. Once entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable, lovely and clean it was. The room was spotless, very pretty and had everything I needed including a fridge and a coffee maker. There was even a Texas Roadhouse right next door that I walked to for dinner. Very delicious! The only downsides were; 1. it was so close to the road and the interstate, I heard sirens and traffic throughout the night. I had to download a white noise app on my phone to block it out so I could sleep. 2. There was the roof line to the cover of the drive entryway blocking my entire window so all I could look out on was a pointed roof. There was absolutely no view and it blocked the natural light from coming into the room. I probably could have asked for another room, but since I was only there for one night, I chose to stay where I was. I took pictures of the room to show my son, which he commented on how nice it was, and a picture of my view out the window, which was non-existent, but this website wouldn't let me upload the pictures. Overall, it was a very pretty and comfortable room without a view and sporadic sirens throughout the night from the emergency vehicles.
