We recently stayed at The Iris Cape Cod and had a mixed experience. The lobby is inviting and nicely maintained. We ate at the on-site restaurant, and the food was good—better than expected for a hotel restaurant. The bartender who waited on our table was friendly and made us feel welcome.
The beds were comfortable, and the room size worked well for our family of four, including two young kids. We were grateful that the hotel provided a crib, which made our stay more convenient. We also used the pool—it was clean, and the kids had a great time splashing around.
The room itself was generally clean, though not immaculate. Unfortunately, we noticed clear water damage and visible mold on the bathroom ceiling the next morning. We reported it to the front desk, but their response was underwhelming—they simply said they would “take a note” and offered no solution or follow-up.
Overall, the hotel has potential. With some improvements in maintenance and customer service, it could be a much better experience.
