We booked through Hotels.com. The host ended up being Kees Vacation OBX, through Hotels.com. To begin with, we never received an email from Kees Vacation OBX with our entry code for our unit. Secondly, there was no manager or office on duty. I called Hotels.com upon arrival for the code to get inside. The customer service rep with Hotels.com initially didn't understand that there was no office or manager on duty. He had difficulty initially reaching out to Kees Vacations. Finally, they called me and said they've sent an email that morning.
No emails were received, nor sent to my junk folder, by Kees Vacations until the day AFTER we returned home from our vacation. In that email, it shows our checkout day was "yesterday" and even listed the WRONG address of our stay. We stayed in Corolla, NC and their email gives us an address to Nags Head, NC. (45 minutes to an hour away from one another!) 🙄
As for check-in, once the Kees Vacation representative called after I reached out to Hotels.com, she verbally gave me the code.
We entered the unit in Corolla. It was nice but a few issues included were: We killed 3 wolf spiders indoors; we had ants on our countertop DAILY (5 days) and had to keep all food put away; the floors were FILTHY; and the master bed was like sleeping on concrete.
With no office, manager, or email from Kees Vacations for contact information, we were unable to get our issues resolved during our stay.
