Charming Boutique Stay, But Not Luxury

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite at World House Boutique Hotel Galata. The room was clean, cute, and very spacious, though the online photos make it look more luxurious than it really is. When we arrived it was quite warm, but the air conditioning cooled it down quickly. The balcony was disappointing: it’s small and faces directly into an office building with people working late, so we had to keep the curtains closed. Instead of the city/garden view suggested, it overlooked the coffee shop below and the building’s stairs. The shower was nice, though the showerhead could have been cleaner. No robes were provided — not necessarily expected for a 3-star, but would have been a nice touch. The biggest plus is the location: right on a lively shopping street with restaurants nearby. Overall, a decent value for the price, but definitely more “charming boutique” than luxury.

Great location. Very friendly staff. This is a VERY small hotel. Only real issue, which is outside the hotel’s control, is that it is right next to a mosque, which blares the morning call to prayer over loudspeakers at sunrise every day, which was 5:12am when we visited. It goes on for a long time and is impossible to sleep through. Beware if you don’t plan to get up at that time.

The whole team was fabulous! Each and every one was helpful, efficient, polite and went out of their way to make our trip wonderful. I was traveling with my mother who can’t walk too far. The hotel staff was very helpful by telling us where to dine, and shop so mom would not have to walk too far. The location of the hotel is excellent- under the shadow of the Galata Tower. Very lively location.

The overall hotel is great, especially the staff is very helpful. However, our room is quite noisy. The noise is from the restaurant/bar on the first floor. Every night the noise continues until 10-11pm. If you are sensitive to noise, you should avoid this hotel or make sure that the room you get is not noisy.

Charming small hotel in central location. We had a deluxe room on the 4th floor (401) with ‘partial sea view’ and balcony. The room was small, the balcony was nice but there is no sea view. It’s also important to call out that there is no elevator so we had to climb 79 steps up and down each time we left the room. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We would recommend the hotel but suggest requesting a room on a lower floor if you have any health or other concerns related to the stairs and skip the partial sea view room option.

Being a boutique hotel, a little hard to locate when we tell our taxi drivers but it is very well-located, very near Galata tower and Istikal shopping areas. We stayed here for 3 nights on 2nd & 3rd floor ( family of 4), no lift access and weak wifi connection. Then we returned for 1 more night after touring Cappadocia & Antalya, we got first floor, good wifi but there is noise from street. Room are clean and newly furnished with modern aesthetics look. They offer l'occitane toiletries. Staff speak good English and are able to make good recommendations to nearby restaurants.

Fantastic little hotel with welcoming staff

A charming, boutique, well located hotel with very friendly staff. The manager and front desk host were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The cafe has great coffee and food. I generally stay at Soho House but they were booked. What a surprise this hotel turned out to be. The hotel is on par with Soho and the price can't be beat! Don't hesitate to book.
