Bed and shower were great. People were lovely, food was delicious. We were even provided a late check in and were very grateful.

Highly recommended

I booked a couple of rooms here, one in the period part and one in the purpose built section. Both rooms were absolutely immaculate with everything provided that we could need. The service and care from staff was top end professional level hospitality, with particular thanks to Ronan and team

It was an amazing place to stay, breakfast was delicious, the only thing that let it down was we had no hot water in the morning, we had to shower in cold water, it certainly woke us up :)

Absolutely stunning village, property was well maintained and unique. Beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. Highly recommend.
Mattias, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Amazing night, but...

Absolutely great place, working locally, everything 5stars, only downside was a fire alarm at 4am, faulty sensors apparently, and my amazing nights sleep was cut short. Would return for everything else though, food, room, and staff all great.
MR, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Really nice building. Food and drink prices slightly above average Chair in my room was too low to use and it had a 'shabby chic' look but was too much shabby. TV in the room not all free view channels. Service in the pub could be a bit slow for how many people were there.
Nicholas, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The room was well above our expectations being roomy, well appointed all while having features of the 400 year old building. All the staff were very pleasant however the two duty managers, Rohan and Dayton went over and above. Hands down the best customer service experience we have ever had.
Kristie, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Lovely for an overnight stop

A lovely location and beautiful looking building. Rooms are in keeping with the building and clean, tea, coffee etc all lovely, nice towels & bedding - the room itself just needed a bit of tlc - radiator not working (portable heater provided instead) shower extremely hard to regulate temperature and not able to single handedly hold the head and shower, bed support broken on one side.. Service was fantastic however and restaurant lovely and we all did get a good sleep.

Oxford Adventure

Unfortunately in the evening there were issues in the kitchen so food was delayed. Room was decorated beautifully but it needs some extra lighting.
Kevin, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We enjoyed our stay at the Bear and Ragged Staff and also the lunch we had when we arrived. The staff were courteous and efficient and this property is situated in a beautiful village within easy reach of Oxford. My only small complaint was the size of the bed. We had booked a King room which I thought would include a 5 foot wide bed, but it was only a standard size which was not what we are used to. However, overall we had a very pleasant stay.

Mycket trevligt boende

Trevligt hotell dit vi gärna återvänder. Egen bil eller taxi behövs om man vill besöka Oxford stad men detta är en oas att bo på.

The most welcoming people. We turned up with our fur baby and she was absolutely spoilt, dog bed, bowls, treats and a ball. Food was fabulous. Highly recommended ! Will definitely book there again. Thank you to all staff
