A deeply disappointing and infuriating experience. We stayed at this hotel from July 26–29, 2025, and were shocked by how we were treated during our 4 a.m. checkout. Despite telling the front desk agent three times that we did not use the minibar, he accused us of lying and insisted on checking the room. We allowed it, even though we were rushing to catch an international flight.
While he was gone, his colleague...more aggressive and rude...yelled at us, saying we could not leave until the minibar check was complete. We felt intimidated and disrespected, as if we were criminals.
My friend and I are both professional Asian American women in our early 40s. She is a middle school science teacher, and I am a university adjunct professor and business analyst. The way we were treated bore no respect for who we are as individuals...or as paying guests.
When the minibar was found untouched, there was no apology. Instead, they tried to make small talk...as if that erased the humiliation. The staff’s behavior was completely unprofessional, and this left a terrible final impression on our trip.
Whether this was discrimination or poor training, it was unacceptable. We will never return to this hotel and urge others...especially women and people of color...to think twice before booking.
