Well, I have to say we enjoy staying here because it's within walking distance of restaurants we like and it is a nice hotel. We've stayed here several times, but this time we get "incidental" charge on my card for parking. It's a Sunday night with nothing special going on and we weren't told of the charge. I had to call. Like I said, we've stayed here several times before on the weekend and haven't been charged for parking. Seems like that would be included. It's not like DoubleTree by Hilton is an economy hotel. Very disappointing.

I have stayed in this hotel back when it was just the Riverview and it felt like stepping into a late '80s time jump lol. After a while of indecisive curiosity, I decided to go ahead and book a room at the newly renovated DoubleTree by Hilton. I was very impressed and could not tell what it used to be. The only thing that I would say that can easily be remedied, is that the "Riverview" side of the hotel, which charges an extra $10 should be redressed. There is no view of the Cumberland river, the trees have blocked it out and at night it's pitch dark on that side of the hotel.

The property is new (about a year old) I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay next to the elevator if you’re sensitive to noises, otherwise the rooms are spacious and clean and other noise is blocked out. The view is amazing all around. The riverwalk is right down the parking lot. Would definitely stay again.
