Placed in a room with double beds instead of the queen beds that we reserved and paid for before we arrived. When we arrived, I inquired about a room upgrade, but I guess it was ironic that they actually downgraded us instead! ... many lights and the fridge as well as coffee maker in the room didn't work. The staff were busy, but friendly and came as quickly as they could to check on the electrical issues. My husband replaced a bulb that they gave us for the room since it was missing. We also noticed that there may have been either a lipstick or fingernail polish party gone bad in room 301 as there were many extra colorful reddish pink markings around the room. Hot tub was the same tempetature as the pool. One staff told us that it would take several hours and we were under the impression that the pool closed within the hour of them restarting the heating of it. However, my husband said that guests were actually in the pool area around 1am when he went down to the lobby, so they must have allowed them to stay later since the heating issues... or maybe they don't adhere to the 8a-10p pool hours posted. We weren't sure, but they were nice and weren't sticklers about the pool hours or anything.It seemed that as long as there wasn't a problem, they made exceptions. Elkhart PD visited over protective order... our daughter had a great birthday... we weren't allowed any amount of late checkout... You get what you pay for and this was adequate for what we wanted for our stay!

There was garbage in the ice bucket, there was a pad in the Kleenex box, there were only 2 towels, when we asked for more the front desk lady was very rude and never brought us any. We had to go to the store and get some towels, the phone was broken and maintenance never came to look at it, the remote didn’t work for the tv. The coffee maker in the room didn’t work instead of water going in the cup it all came out of the bottom all over the counter.

I’m 9 months pregnant, booked a stay for a week with 3 children on my reservation, paid 575$ and some change, the elevator was broken. Didn’t tell me until after I paid. The room had dirty walls and a cigarette burn on the toilet seat.

They had a “be back in 5 minutes” sign up when we arrived. They were gone WELL over 5 mins. We had to wait an hour for someone to check us in. We had to ring the bell multiple times, at least 5. Then the man who checked us in was rude, like he was upset we were ruining his “me time.” The elevator was broken which made it hard to bring all our items upstairs, & I am disabled. There was makeup on the bedsheets, confetti on our floor, and a sticky substance on our coffee table. There was barely any toilet paper in our room. There were very visible and poorly repaired patches on the bathroom wall in multiple places. The worst part though? Someone actually WALKED INTO OUR ROOM - keyed themselves in - and said “OH I THOUGHT THIS WAS EMPTY.” We checked out before the night was through and will NEVER rent from Sleep Inn in Elkhart again. $112 for ONE night and they couldn’t even bother to give us more than a few sheets of toilet paper - let alone clean the room at all it seems. Horrible Hotel. Do not suggest.

Old room with fried outlets. Rude owner all staff lived on site. Stole my earrings and coat. At least they say they didn't and police rept didn't do anything. Beware of these people.

The front desk staff did about the bare minimum and was not friendly/hard to understand. The room itself was decent at first glance but was not cleaned well. There was a hole in one of the doors and dust on some shelving. The AC did not work (only the heat), the shower had a couple leaking valves and the tub should be scrubbed to get rid of lime and other marks. I had to ask for shampoo because it was empty in the shower and I asked for the AC to be looked at because the first night it wouldn’t turn on at all. I had to follow up on Day 2 of my stay to go get shampoo because it was not refilled after I asked the first day, and I had to re-plug in the AC to get it to turn on (though it still didn’t work). Overall, it provided a bed for a cheap price but the staff clearly does the bare minimum, if that. The food for breakfast was minimal and looked unpleasant, and no one has vacuumed the hallways in a while it seems.

Our stay was okay. Based on the online pictures and price (ND football weekend) I expected it to be a bit nicer. Our room was clean, but while using the restroom at night, a roach walked across the floor. Also, both stairwells had not been vacuumed in a while. Parts of the hotel have been refinished such as new paint, floor tiles, and carpet, but other areas show their age such as rusty door frames and old bathtubs. Also, sub flooring was not fixed before putting down carpet and tiles. So the floor tiles in our bathroom moved under foot and the hallway didn’t feel solid under the carpeting. The breakfast was okay. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice through the window.

We had loud neighbors and nothing was done about it. The breakfast was poor and not restocked when things were gone. We didn’t have enough towels and was questioned about it when we asked for 1 more. I only saw one employee, so that could have been part of the problem.
