The common areas and the pool appeared to be clean and maintained. The rooms however, were not. We were changed out of our first room because the bathroom and fridge were not clean, and the second room the bathroom had hair in the shower and a dirty toilet seat. The beds smelled and appeared clean. The staff were nice and helpful, and they did mention there was a housekeeping shortage.

We arrived Friday June 26 and our two kids were super excited to swim in a pool (they’d been talking about it for weeks, for our second son it was his first time at a hotel). Unfortunately when we got to the pool we were unable to swim because it was ice cold. Our room was also dirty- dead bugs, cobwebs, trash from previous guests. We chose this hotel because a few years ago my husband and I had stayed there and enjoyed it, so we were very disappointed that it was not as good as we remembered it. We were also bummed to learn there is no longer a hot tub. The plus side was the continental breakfast was good and beds were comfortable. But we were overall unsatisfied and will likely look at other hotels for our next Duluth stay.
