Memorable extras, but facilities need improvement

We were warmly welcomed and pleasantly surprised with a suite upgrade that included a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was a highlight, and the rooftop bar offered amazing views, tasty reasonably priced snacks and drinks and excellent service. Comfortable beds, big TV, fast self-checkout and reliable Wi-Fi were also positives. However, the room had several issues: the AC dripped water inside, was noisy and so was the small fridge. The room, though upgraded, on the 7th floor, was dark and offered a disappointing view of a parking building. The bathroom floor was slippery due to some oily residue. Elevator service was poor, despite having several elevators, we queued and waited over 10 minutes to go up or down. Overall, the location is great with the boardwalk nearby and the price was competitive for the area.

Never Again

There are 5 elevators only 2 worked at the same time. People were stuck in one of the elevators for 20+ minutes after someone on the outside alerted security. Security never checked saying that he didn’t hear the alarm. Finally a man inside the elevator pried the doors open. They were about 2feet below the floor. They had to climb up and out of the elevator. No one attempted to block the elevator’s entrance. This occurred after my 40 minute wait to check in at 8pm. The elevators continued to be an issue over the next 2 days. The front desk staff (only 2 at a time actually working) told me the elevator’s were security’s responsibility and never called on the 2nd day. The hotel is old which would be charming if it weren’t for the musty smell. I’m positive that people were walking in off the street using the pool. The keycard entry was not working and those people put their street clothes over their wet bathing suits stuffed multiple clean pool towels in their grocery bag tote and left. The only pleasant and semi attentive people were the valets, housekeepers and the one Vue waiter. The toilet had no pressure and I had to hold down the handle for everything to go down and then wait for it to stop making the loud noise while filling up slowly. This was supposed to be a weekend celebrating my husband’s birthday with his family from Virginia. I was embarrassed because I recommended this hotel. After the pool incident, I decided to leave a day early. Never again!

The elevators was a mess we was on the 16th floor had to walk and down the steps no security guard was there at the time to make sure how many guests got on and off and even one of the elevators broke down with people in the inside it was the worst

The room is a typical AC room, old and antiquated. The room itself was relatively clean, but there were other areas that need improvement. The bed was comfortable and I had a partial view of the ocean that was was nice, but the view would've been much better if the windows were clean. The bathroom shower door was broken and the shower has tons of caked up mold or mildew in the corners. Also, there were not enough signs to get to/from the parking garage so we were aimlessly walking around empty dark hallways looking for the garage entrance. Now to the worse part of the trip.....the elevators. If you have a fear of elevators, stay sonewhere else. The elevators are old and most did not work. We were hearing stories of guests being trapped so we considered walking up the stairs to the 11th floor, but my mom's knee wouldn't allow it, so we waited and waited and waited. The wait time was so long that I looked at options for other hotels while we were waiting, but nothing was available. An empty elevator finally arrived and went up one floor, dropped and got stuck. Luckily we were able to climb out after someone pried the doors open with their hands. This experience was traumatic to say the least. I won't stay here again.

Very long elevator wait!!!!

Waited on elevators for 30 minutes each time you needed to use them! Asked the security person in Lobby where are the steps I would take them and he said there weren’t any!!! It’s in a good location and the pool is open till 10pm which is better than most casinos!

On check in, there was a line down to back and only 2 people checking in. Wanted an item fixed and never done. Vents and fans were full of dust. Only 2 out of the 5 elevators worked. Their was a large group of people checking in late in the week which made getting on and off the elevators nearly impossible.

Terrible Stay

Staff was super rude, it smelled like weed and was dingy. We asked for towels and we were told they didn’t have any. Elevators were a nightmare and checkin was really slow. Someone left dirty underwear in front of our door, there was some sort of liquid on the wall that looked like blood and the hallways had trash and laundry that was left there for more than 24 hours.
