Hotel Berlin Berlin:
Disappointing on Every Level
I stayed at Hotel Berlin Berlin for two nights, and unfortunately, the experience was consistently frustrating.
Check-in was a disaster: no staff available to help, and the self-check-in kiosks didn’t work. Once I finally accessed the room, the problems kept coming:
• The bed creaked loudly with every movement.
• The air conditioning didn’t function, making the room stuffy and uncomfortable.
• Housekeeping failed to replace the towels, despite me leaving them on the shower floor as requested.
• The room smelled like cigarettes, despite supposedly being smoke-free.
• The phone next to the bed was useless—not just unplugged, but missing a cord entirely, which caused me to miss important calls.
Elsewhere in the hotel, the lobby barista was rude and unprofessional, and the self-check grocery shop was a rip-off, charging €5 for a small bottle of water.
This was my second and final stay at this hotel. With so many better options nearby, I recommend skipping Hotel Berlin Berlin. Save yourself the disappointment.
