I researched hotels in the Downtwon Boston area extensively before booking. I am still in awe as to how Club Quarters received such high accolades. First off, as soon as we checked in and entered our room, it was filthy - especially the bed. The bed contained crumbs, hair, and dirt. You could hardly even see yourself utilizing the mirrors they were so piled with water spots and grime. All surfaces were covered in a layer of dust so much so that it was unable to be removed with a swipe of your finger. Overall, the room simply had not been cleaned before our arrival which was several hours after the designated check in time - even the carpet had tufts of body hair. Our bedding was changed (after being inspected by staff) and we received a $50 voucher for the restaurant next door for the inconvenience. Instead of being able to drop off our things and explore, it took over an hour to have the bedding changed due to cleaning staff having already gone home for the day. During our stay, the room was very musty, damp, and left a stickiness on one’s skin and clothes. The air worked properly which we had set at 68 degrees for the majority of the trip, so I am not too sure as to the reasoning for this. It was very unsettling getting into wet bedding and changing into musty/damp clothes. The checkout process was not any better. Therefore, I would NOT recommend this establishment and based off of our experience would never frequent another Club Quarters location.
