Got there and the first room we got smelly like someone had just smoked in it. They gave me another room and then never updated it in the system so I had to go back down stairs to get my keys working again. The shower broke and then water wouldn’t shut off. Not worth the money I paid to stay there. Definitely won’t be going back

I met the owner who is exceedingly gracious. Front desk staff also very helpful and kind. The motel itself is old and needs revamping. Things were nonfunctional (ice machine and water fountain -the front desk did provide me with ice from a bag ). The room has areas that need fixing, bathroom fixtures in shower are loose and water is getting behind them so mold, drawer on nightstand won’t stay closed, the mattress’ are on a metal platform which creeks when moving through throughout the night. Cleanliness was satisfactory, understandably challenging in an older hotel, but inside of the drawers needs scrubbed out. Lamp shades are loose because nuts are used instead of a finials. Wi-Fi was good. TV functioned. The proximity to a very busy intersection makes it loud late into the night and perhaps more so if you stay on the southside. I also understand this motel was purchased two years ago and they are working on the facility a little bit at a time. I did feel my car was safe in the parking lot and I was safe as a solo traveler.

Water in the showers was not very warm. My hubby took a bath and the caulk came off and got all over his back. The beds are ridiculously loud when you get up. Beds are also very uncomfortable. Breakfast isn’t the best. Little bit of mold in the showers.

It was good, except the fridge in the room made loud gurgling noises. Had to run the AC fan all night to drown it out. I mentioned this to the manager(?) the next morning and she said she would replace it that day. Good reaction, but I had to downgrade the comfort and condition scores anyway. I would stay here again.

I must say that i will never stay here again. The lady at the front desk was really and made me feel uncomfortable, she told me and my husband that we smelled bad, the room was dirty and she told us not to dirty up her towels. So not ill not recommend.

The room was clean, comfortable. Me and my daughter were attending a film festival in Asheboro that weekend. It snowed but the property had the parking lot and driveway shoveled. The front desk was nice and helpful. Beautiful city too!

This is a modest place, good location. Very nice people. The place seemed ckean. But it is poorly constructed. (The door didn't fit, cold air was pouring into the room.) No extra blanket. The bathtub didn't have a stopper. No rugs on the floor. The bed base was metal and noisy. The breakfast was very disappointing.
