Booked for proximity to the sports complex for a tournament. The reviews all led us to believe that it was a good location and a clean place to stay. Wasn’t expecting a 5 star resort, but in line with a usual Comfort, Hampton or Holiday Inn Express.
Rolled our belongings in to check in and the first thing we notice is the yellow tape around the only elevator - it’s closed, must use stairs. I asked the desk how long it had been not working and am told it has been out for weeks, and wlll not be repaired for at least another few weeks. Weeks!
So i carried all our bags and gear upstairs and drop it all in the room and go to wash my hands. The sink barely drains, so it quickly fills up with water that we have to wait quite a while to clear. Only two towels on the rack. Screws missing from the chain lock on the door. Since it’s 10:30 at night we have no choice but to stay the night.
The next morning we go downstairs for breakfast…no eggs available, very little food to choose, and lines for the waffle makers (presumably because it’s nearly the only option).
If only I had a bad experience it could be chalked up to one bad room. But the other two people from our team had similar complaints, dirty comforters, no breakfast options, the others even said they had no lights. Lobby coffee was only +
