The apartment was generous and well located, but rather noisy. Given that in Venice you have to essentially carry your luggage by hand, the fact that the hotel for the check-in was 10 min from the ferry and then a 15 min walk over several bridges away from the apartment itself, made the trip quite strenuous for one night.

Overall pleased with our stay. Location is excellent, right in the middle of everything. We did find apartment difficult to locate initially. It’s a door with a small sign, not lit up so hard to find if arriving in darkness. Apartment is clean with kitchen and washing machine. Excellent when travelling with children. We found apartment hot and heating could do with being turned down, which you can’t do yourself. We opened windows…letting the mosquitoes in! Slightly random issue…large bathroom mirror fell off wall and smashed on tile floor everywhere. Apartment does not have a reception desk in the building so unable to get help to clean up all the glass until the next day. I hadn’t considered being in a building with no reception but this could have been an issue. Just something to consider. Luckily no one was injured and there was a brush so I could sweep all the shards to the corner.

Overall a good experience. Excellent location and good property. The air conditioning was non-functional for the season, which left the interior rooms at 28C. We had to open the windows, but this exposed us to mosquitoes. Each of us left with several hundred bites. But the location is phenomenal - steps to everything. The room is clean, and the washing machine was an unexpected bonus. I would consider staying here again if traveling with my family.

The apartment looked more modern and spacious. It is in the main area close to the Rialto Bridge. The apartment also had a washing machine. We did not use the kitchen, but the facilities looked fine.

The location was great and the room met our needs. It was a little difficult to get in touch to store our bags before check in time. If you intended to cook, there was absolutely nothing in the kitchen like oil, salt or pepper on hand as a starter, which was unfortunate, but with so many restaurants nearby that didn’t pose a huge problem.

This property was a short walk from the train station but other than that, there is nothing good about it. When we checked in, we found leftover food still in the freezer and a gross yellow stain on one of the towels. The mirror was also cracked and when we advised the property of these issues, there was no response even up until the day we checked out. The air conditioning also did not seem to function properly as the place was overwhelming hot despite us turning it all the way up. It also seems to have a big issue, we saw multiple mosquitoes and other unidentified insects which made our sleep very uncomfortable. Would not recommend at all.

** I like to write realistic reviews that point out what is good, what could be improved, and nice-to-know/neutral things. ** Good: It was in a great location near St Mark Square and the Rialto Bridge. The windows were amazingly soundproof, so we didn’t hear outside noise even though we were right in the heart of the San Marco district. The shower had plenty of hot water. It had a full size refrigerator with freezer, which was nice. There is a bar and stools in the kitchen to eat at. The WiFi worked well. There is a great espresso and pastry bar called Marchini Time that is about one block away. Not so good: There were no towels at all in the kitchen – no dishcloths, hand towels, or paper towels. As others have said, there was no cooking oil in the kitchen. Providing a small amount would be nice to save travelers from having to buy a large container that they would likely have to leave behind. A microwave would have been nice so that we could easily reheat leftovers. FYI: The bed was firm. We found it comfortable. The kitchen window had no coverings, and there is a nearby building directly across from it; so beware of walking into the kitchen if you have no clothes on, because the people in that building can see you.
