Not the hotel for us.

This stay was not the best first they didn’t have the two bed room we booked (this will factor in later). We were offered either a king room or two king rooms. We took the one room as we are a couple and can share a bed. The mattress was super hard and the pillows were half flat before you even used them. After the first night we asked for some additional pillows and were told they might not have them. When they did find extra they gave us grief for wanting two extra ones, one for each of us. This is normally one reason we book a room with two beds as it gives us more pillows and we don’t have to share blankets. Overall we did not enjoy our stay as the hard bed made it tough to sleep.

Tru not up to par

I have stayed in Tru hotels before and absolutely loved them! This particular one was not up to their usual standards. We were just passing thru the area for the night so we just needed a place to sleep and i was excited to find them. Our room was not the cleanest! It didn't look like the table between the beds had been cleaned in over a week with the amount of dust on it including crumbs. The main floor was clean but you could see that they dont pay attention to the edges of the floor or corners which is where we noticed it first in the bathroom. Shower had rust black grime stuff built up, ceiling fan had so much dust balls on it, toilet was very loose from the floor, beds were uncomfortable and AC was extremely loud. All of this may of just been the room we unfortunately got but it was disappointing to get. Lady at the counter was not the friendliest so I didn't bother going to tell her. We left super early so breakfast wasn't open yet but they usually have a good one. We liked that it was right off the highway and close to gas & restaurants.

No air conditioning in my room. It was broken, and the fan was super loud. It was 90 degrees for the few days I was there. Also, the breakfast choices were bad, everything was out of order.

It really helps a tired traveler when the staff is friendly- and everyone I met was. The lady at the desk was happy and welcoming, the ladies responsible for the breakfast area were efficient and sincere in their efforts to keep everything clean and stocked. I enjoyed my stay.

Great place and people

I have stayed here for the last four years maybe 3 times a year and no matter who is working or what time I check I’m always met with a smile. And travelling with dogs they make every accommodation for my dogs. If you stay in Ashland stay here.

The hotel is right off I-95. Facilities is pretty new and has a great lobby with activities and coffee 24/7. The room is ok. There is no closet or drawer for storage. Only trash can is in the bathroom. The decor is very contemporary but not very practical for family.

Great stay with EV charging

I stayed in a 2 queen room and like every other tru by hilton the hotel was clean. Gym and lobby with pool table etc were useful. The parking lot was nearly full as it was spring break time, some vehicles with trailers took up several spots. So it was a bit difficult to find parking. But it should not be a big deal during regular times. If you have a electric vehicle there are 2 chargepoint chargers and it is free. Breakfast could use a little more variety. My room was on the side of I-95 highway, there was a little bit of noise but not overwhelming enough to disturb sleep. The room gets very dark with the blackout blinds and it helps.

This was just ok. The room was clean but the hotel is converting the HVAC system and it wasn’t working. Never had a hotel room with no closet. Just wall hooks. The breakfast was far less than what we’ve experienced in similar hotels. They did have a nice rec area in the lobby with a pool table, other games. The employees were friendly.

Nice But Needs Improvement

The room is tight. Have to move the desk chair to sit in it to watch TV and then back again to sleep. No real place to put your luggage and open it. The luggage shelf is too narrow and sits underneath the TV cabinet so you can't open your luggage. Breakfaat on our last day was terrible. Seem there was only one person working and they had to cover the front desk. No coffee cups, egg and cheeze omelot was out and when more were brought out they ere ice cold. Had to microwave them to make them edible. Breakfast selection is very small. No donuts, limited amount of fruit.
