It was magical! The host was so welcoming and kind without being at all overbearing. I slept very well, got a some good work done (not easy in every hotel situation), and had what I believe to be the BEST breakfast I've ever had at a hotel/B&B. 100% *will* stay here again!

We had the most memorable and enjoyable stay with John on our way down from Lake George back to New York City. We were met with the warmest welcome. It was like staying with an old friend in a house you always look forward to visiting. I can highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area or not.

Best farmhouse stay in Troy

We had a great stay on our Belmont/Saratoga weekend. John was an awesome host and was always in communication with me as I had to adjust my stay and arrival time. So accommodating. Room was amazing. Super clean bathroom and a huge king bed, very high ceilings and farmhouse vibe! The breakfast was fresh (cooked in front of me!) and delicious. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Sweet B & B, caring owner. Wonderful breakfast outside at patio/bistro tables. Just a few rooms. Comfortable bed, very nice newly renovated bathroom. The house is historically old, filled with eclectic collection of all kinds of art, antiques, even a coat of armor! Nice owner.

The perfect place for a night away! We were so relaxed and comfortable. John (the innkeeper) is an utter delight, and has found just the right balance of friendly banter and giving guests the private time they seek. His recommendations for local restaurants and things to do was spot on, and the homemade breakfast he made was fabulous. Wish we lived closer so we could hang out! Best Inn EVER!!!

My partner and I had a wonderful time at the Gardner Farm Inn. We stayed in the stunning and eclectic John Waters room. Our bed was hard to get out of since it was so cozy and comfortable. We had an enormous walk-in closet and a large bathroom with everything we needed. Every morning, we were greeted with 5-star breakfasts and excellent hospitality. The host John is one of the sweetest human beings I have ever met, and I'm glad I got to stay in his beautiful home. I highly recommend the Gardner Farm Inn for anyone staying in the area.
