Needs approvement

Clarion Inn was not the name of the hotel . Did not get the room I book. I book a king bed and ot two reguler. I book room for a special night my ladie and only not to be in the same bed. to top it off coffee maker in the room did not work and breakfest was so so.

Gorgeous and refreshing

The hotel itself is gorgeous, the folks are nice, the atmosphere is gorgeous. The rooms are a breath of fresh air, spacious with two fridges and beds are comfy, the pool is not heated tho there is a jacuzzi. Breakfast had so many options to choose from and for lunch or dinner I highly recommend the Orient Express, within 20 minutes we had a three plate spreader delicious and great service

Nice enough, will probably return

Breakfast food sits too long. Arrived around 8am and the food had been sitting too long rewarming. Shriveled sausage and dried out potatoes. The bed springs are shot. While the mattress is comfortable the springs clang and twang when getting into or out of bed. Horribly disruptive Front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean but ours happened to be very dark in the downstairs corner. Good location but there is no sign to know what hotel it is. Overall it was a nice enough stay

Birding in Sierra Vista

No hotel sign out front. Other than that I had no complaints. Comfy bed, good wifi, plenty of parking, everything clean. Breakfast was outstanding. Loved the watermelon and oranges. Coffee was great. We had corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, grits, sausage and ham, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and potatoes. Desk personnel were nice and professional. Breakfast cook was sweet.

Good enough

Pros: 1. woman who checked me in was nice 2. Area to access the rooms was gated and required a key card to get in 3. Plenty of parking 4. Area didn’t seem bad and it was only a couple miles from everything I needed 5. I really liked the pillows (I took a picture of the tag so I can buy some) Cons: I think I just got unlucky with the room I had but the sink had poor water pressure if used for more than a few seconds. The toilet was clogged and I had to go buy a plunger to fix it (I asked the front desk but they were busy and unsure if they had one). The tv didn’t work at first because someone had unplugged a cord so I had to fix that too (which was more difficult than it sounds- there wasn’t a lot of room to get to where I needed to plug it in so it was difficult). There were also loud people staying there who thought loud conversations outside at 6am were acceptable (not that this is the hotels fault)

VERY, VERY FAR from “excellent”

Beds were extremely uncomfortable, hard as a rock, I was not able to rest. The first night we arrived tired and late, when I waked into the room I wanted to walk out. The room was nothing like the pictures. The furniture looked like it was picked up on the side of the road on trash day. We stayed because there was nothing else available in the area, and the bed itself actually looked clean. I didn’t get any rest. Next day we switched rooms and the second room was marginally better. At least it appeared cleaner and the bed was very slightly softer. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, but it was convenient. They had eggs, boiled eggs, home fries, pork sausage, waffles, bagels, yogurt, toast, oatmeal, and one day, chorizo and eggs. Also OJ, tea and coffee. To me this was more like a $40 motel, but it does have an “excellent” potential. It is in a sketchy part of town. Overall I felt I like was cheated, definitely not what I thought I was signing up for, especially for the money. The fountains in pictures were not working, courtyards looked run down, but the pool area was nice. Despite hotels.com description of a heated pool, it was not heated, so we weren’t able to use it. It was one of the original selling points for me, that I did not get. The small hot tub was warm though. They seem to be working on improving the place, so hopefully one day it’ll match its price. I hate leaving a bad review, but I really felt like I was swindled by this place and hotels.com.
