I want to start this review by saying that we are NOT hotel snobs. As long as a room is clean, we are happy. The good stuff – the little red cabin was very cute and very clean. It was sparse and rustic inside but had a dining set and two beds which is exactly what we needed for our one-night stay. The not-so-good stuff - I was honestly shocked to learn that we were expected to pay €10 PER PERSON for bed sheets and towels. Those are not optional luxuries — they are a fundamental part of any accommodation. They directly affect comfort, hygiene, and sleep quality. Charging extra for something so fundamental felt unreasonable and frankly inappropriate. Bed linens are a basic expectation in any accommodation. Even a budget hostel we stayed at in Helsinki included sheets and towels as standard. We declined to pay the additional fee out of pure principle. As a result, I slept fully clothed, on top of the comforter and under my coat. While I managed, this is not something any guest should have to experience. Overall, while the cabin itself was charming and clean, the additional charge for bed linens significantly impacted our experience.

Loved it! Perfect stay for the first night before driving north to upper Lapland. Cost, clean, and sauna in the hut! Parking right outside the door, and a kitchen for cooking. Perfect.

Violent staff. Avoid this place at all costs. An abundance of issues (broken Tv, broken heating, broken shower which resulted in my partner cutting herself on the broken shower head) but topped all off by the maintenance man violently shouting at us to shut the door to avoid heat getting out. After trying to explain the door was open as our children was in the car and we was loading it up to leave, he continued slamming the door shut to which we reopened and he continued to slam shut, this went on 3-4 times until he slammed it as hard as he could with my partners foot in the door resulting in a bruised foot. This of course left our children petrified and crying and has ruined the rest of the trip. After trying to complain to reception, all we got told was “email this email address” to which of course, we have had no reply. Would not recommend staying here unless you enjoy the risk of a broken foot by staff members.

I knew this was a no frills type stay. However, there was no heat in the common area, it was freezing so we could not use this space. The hot water in our bathroom did not work. After maintenance came it was full hot or full cold- no adjusting. The shower was gross. The fridge was dirty. 10 euro charge to plug in car. Would not stay here again.

An Unpleasant Stay

Place was dated in furnishing. The floor as you enter was so slippery similarly wt the toilet floor. While there may be a rug at the entrance, you can’t open the door. So watch out fr a fall! We tried the TV n it couldn’t work wt a remote control so you hv to plug on/off the tv wt the main plug. We reported it at the reception. A polite technician came n tried to change to another remote control but to no avail. He apologised! The next morning, the receptionist promised they would change the TV but when we returned at 4 pm, nothing was done and that we had to accept the situation as even if it was just 1 channel, receptionist said tv still works! No apologies! How infuriating for an expensive weekend 2 nights stay plus extra €30 surcharge for 3 sets of linens n towels. No property checks before renting out the accommodation ! Go and find another place to stay if you were driving like us. We regretted staying here.

Não vi serviço de lavanderia. O quarto era bom, mas não teve nenhum serviço de limpeza bdoquarto durante toda a semana que eu passei ali. A funcionária do dia precisa de uma aula de empatia porque era tanto mau humor que contagiava o lugar. Um horror. Já o moço da noite era bem simpático, mas seco. Tinha ônibus que passava na estradas om uma certa frequência, tanto para ir, como voltar da cidade ( eu fui sem carro ), porém de noite, eu precisava pegar Uber para voltar dos passeios da aurora boreal porque as agências não levam nem buscam nesse local. Tudo funcionou no quarto, cozinha, banheiro e cama. Tem que pagar para usar toalha e roupa de cama ( 10 euros incluía uma toalha de corpo, uma de rosto, um lençol e uma fronha ). Achei um absurdo não estar incluso, mas tudo bem. Enfim, atendeu as minhas necessidades.
