Staff were friendly enough - but perhaps a list of eating options for xmas eve would have been helpful. I ended up walking 25 mins each way to the gas station at night. I liked the location and facilities. if you modernized a couple of the features, like curtains, would have totally different feel, but it's stilll lovely and great value.

If you are looking for a hotel with a pool and amazing beach...look no further! It is on a remarkable part of the beach. If you are high maintenance and want to be surrounded by tourists, stay at Sandals. But if you want a quiet hotel close to many restaurants, coffee and on the best beach...stay here. This family owned hotel is a gem.

The Allamanda is a perfectly cozy and practical budget hotel right on the gorgeous Grand Anse beach. Supermarket & shopping center are just on the other side of the road and the beach and all it's bars and restaurants are a short walk away the property itself is a little run down but atill comfortable and clean. Pool was a great option and th rooms were comfortable. He had a small aircon issue ( it leaked) on the last night making a big puddle. Staff was quick to set us up in another room.would recommend to friends and family who are budget travelers.

Whilst the hotel is a little tired, its location, friendly staff and cleanliness far outweigh chipped furniture and paintwork. The proximity to the beach can't be beaten and the pool was just perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Great value for money.
