Staff were great BUT safety and cleanliness
The front desk staff were super amazing and kind. There was NO issue with staffing. The room was very unclean with stains on the ceiling that looked black like mold. the shower and bathroom were unclean as well. The flooring was a vinyl but we could not walk around without our socks turning black. We opted to wear shoes in the room the whole time.
The other issue I had was the unease of safety at the hotel. It is right off the highway and near a busy roadway but there were a ton of men sitting on the corners, walking behind the building, and through the parking lot. Also, a wooded lot across the street had a number of men coming and going into the woods and I was concerned for the safety of my kids and myself.
I realize that the less fortunate are everywhere. However, I was concerned about drug activity and crime.
