We had probably the best studio room (302) of the whole resort! It was a bit on the side from other more "generic" rooms/buildings, and our patio extented to a secluded barbeque area. The room even had its own parking spot. It really had an exclusive feel, perfect for a romantic set, and we especially enjoyed the fact that we could have some cold beer from our fridge and other items from Safeway (~3miles away) to do bbq. Washing dishes was a bit hard in the room and the room lacked good bbq-ing tools but we managed. We also enjoyed using the coffee maker and toaster. Unfortunately everytime we used the toaster it triggered the smoke alarm detector, but we quickly learned to toast having the doors open 😅 Room was very clean and patio/bbq area very well managed. A/C in the room was somewhat noisy. Pool area was well managed and it was especially nice to dip in to the jacuzzi late evening. Unfortunately though the pool bar wasn't open that late but it seemed to be fine to take your own beer cans to the area. Location was great but not for the Sedona's amazing views. In general at Sedona you MUST have a car to enjoy everything it has to offer, so having those views also in your resort really isn't necessary at all. It was just a 10min drive to e.g. Airport Mesa to enjoy the amazing Sedona sunset. Would definitely visit again, but I would beg to have the same room 🙂

If you want absolute fabulousness this hotel is for you! Amazing place. Don’t let them try to rope you into a discounted anything if you watch a Hilton membership presentation. That was scary and awful!

Very clean, room was spacious with 1 bedroom, and living area with sofa sleeper. Everything you need in the kitchen if eating in. Coffee needs updating, tasteless brew, stronger tasting options should be offered. Plenty of towels, plus 2 pool towels nice, 2 towels had faded colors. No alcoholic beverages available poolside, even tho there was a bar, disappointing. The trees and vegetation around the hotel grounds are very nice.

We appreciated the room upgrade very much and found the newly remodeled room to be attractive and well-planned. We liked the suite layout so my husband could stay up late and I could get up early without disturbing each other’s sleep. The sofa and chairs were nice to look at but a bit hard. We enjoyed walking around the property, sitting in the surprisingly comfy rock slab seats, admiring the wonderful variety of trees and swimming in the pool. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and responsive to our questions. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we’d be happy to recommend Los Abrigados or return in the future!

Exceptional staff. Beautiful grounds and amenities. This is a dated building, and the fixtures and appliances/furnishings are tired ( eg. constantly plugged toilet, dishwasher fallling apart. But for the price? WOW! There is significant resort amenities charge, but honestly, I would stay here again and again. We did hear that the whole place is being renovated, and I’m sure the cost will be three times more than what we paid for ionce it’s completed. But it was worth every penny we paid and the best place we’ve stayed at in our 10 day vacation. The staff were exceptional ! So helpful and friendly. Don’t let its dated tiredness deter you.

It was wonderful, they text me if I had any questions and replied immediately. Everyone in entire hotel from front desk, bar, spa area, to pool were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. Overall a wonderful experience and great stay.

While showing its age in a few ways there are many reasons to like Los Abrigados. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with many amenities. The fixtures and appliances were older but functional. Beds were comfortable and clean, even the hide-a-bed. During our two night stay we didn’t have much chance to experience many of the resort amenities such as spa services or restaurants, but we did use the pool and hot tub and were impressed with the size and cleanliness. The games area had pickleball courts, mini golf, bocce ball, and large scale chess, and was in a very shaded area with many mature trees. This is a large resort with many buildings but did not seem overly crowded or too big to get around. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
