This location is surprisingly a Ramada, but you’d never know it when you get there. It’s this small building n the middle of a residential area on a fairly busy road. There’s no parking, well I guess there’s 10 spots somewhere but it’s first come, so expect to pay for parking in a garage about 10 min walk away. We got in outside of normal business hours, the front desk staff was unwilling to honor the cost I had reserved the rooms for. So, unless you pay up front when reserving the room, it’s a crap shoot as to what you’ll end up paying (I paid $80 more than what I reserved them for). I had reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen beds each, what I ended up getting was 2 rooms with a queen and a double. The bathroom is so tiny and is directly behind the door to the room, so you can’t keep the bathroom door open to alleviate the claustrophobia because you can’t get into the room. The one unexpectedly nice thing was that the double bed was in a separate room, so my daughter could have privacy. The air conditioning came in the form of window units (base models) so there wasn’t any control of what the room temperature was. The included breakfast consisted of microwaveable egg patties and Eggo Waffles with some store bought pastries and fruit.

It was in a very busy street and I could hear the traffic and horns all night. The air conditioner was extremely loud and I could barely sleep in the first night. I think I have requested a quiet room away from traffic. Breakfast didn't have a good variety. The last morning they ran out of plates.

At first glance, the neighborhood looks questionable and so you wonder about the hotel itself. Let me tell you this: Do not let the outer appearance of the neighborhood fools you because the hotel and inside of the hotel is very nice and clean! The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. The location is only 1 block from the PATH train station (Journal Square station) which takes you easily into NYC in less than 20 min to The Rockerfeller Center and Empire State Building which is also not that far from Times Square. Or if you go to the 9/11 Memorial and the One World Observatory, it's only 3 stops away from that PATH Journal square train station! It is VERY convenient without paying the high NYC hotel prices! We used Lyft to get to Liberty State park for our ferry to the Statue of Liberty and it was ver convenient, about 20 min from the hotel. The hotel is also right around the corner from a street that has many restaurants, markets and stores, right along the way to/from the train station, so it is extremely convenient!! Most stores open around 9, 10 in the morning while the supermarkets are opened earlier. The hotel offers a good spread of breakfast which is included in your stay. It is a smoke free hotel and has airport shuttle to the Newark airport (make sure to check the time available first). They clean and restock daily. The AC worked well for us, no issue there. The bathroom is dated but it is clean and that matters. The room was very spacious for us.

Older hotel that has smaller than usual “queen” size beds and a small bathroom. For the most part, it was ok except for the louder than usual street traffic due to the uninsulated window ACs. So, bring ear plugs.

Personnel très aimable et aidant. Hôtel viellot mais décent. Bon emplacement pour utiliser le PATH vers Manhattan. Attention, quelques places de stationnement disponibles derrière l'hôtel mais au coût de 37$ US/nuit. Les rues avoisinnantes servent de stationnement. Déjeuner simple mais complet avec un bon roulement mais peu de places assises ce qui cause problème les jours d'achallandages comme la fin de semaine. L'isolation des fenêtres et des climatiseurs qui y sont posés laisse à désirer, les bruits ambiants de la rue sont omniprésents dans la chambre.
