Not compairable to other TownPlace suites

When we checked in desk clerk said they were sold out for the evening so they upgradedus from the king I prepaid for to a queen one br suite, which I didn't want because I had to share the bed with children. They made us take the suite and when we went in there were food crumbs all over the kitchen floor, someones open toothpast packets in the bathroom and towels everywhere, the rug clearly not vaccumed I didn't even make it into the separate bedroom before turning around and leaving and demanding the king room I prepaid for and that if they considered what they just put us in an upgrade they should refund me immediately. King room was a little better. Bathroom was fully cleaned but shower basin was cracked and starting to rust. Room was sprayed to smell fresh but I still question if it had been vaccumed. Beedding was very wrinkled but appeared to smell clean and unused. Breakfast was cold every morning including the "warm" buffet items. I had just spent 4 days at TownPlace in Lansing, MI and it was beautiful and staff was much more pleasant This location needs some updates physically and in staff.

WOULD I RETURN?

I was an out of town guest and my experience I would never suggest this place to others!!! 1. There was no phone in our room, asked front desk rep about it her continued response “it SHOULD be by the bed” after being told multiple times there was no phone in the room. No i will send someone up to look, there was no time where the worker took initiative to send someone or come up and either replace or provide an accommodation or incentive. Customer service at all time low based off just that. 2. Shower was HORRIBLE! That’s it. 3. No dish soap for dishes. 4. Sheets WERE DIRTY! 5. light bulb flickered in the bathroom Breakfast by a thread (there should be options of meat for non pork eaters, so my breakfast was limited, and suggest a label for creamer) and the gym were the best things out of the stay.

Really it just looked like a lot of construction and I don’t know why like our room didn’t have a shower door. There was plaster all over the floor. The coffee pot had not been cleaned needed cleaned underneath the couch. Didn’t look like the room was ready for somebody to be there, even though the bed was made, we want to use the pool in the Jacuzzi and the water was freezing so when I pay that much for a hotel room, I expect it to be much better and it was not

The breakfast was good each morning and staff members were friendly and helpful. The pool was fine however, the hot tub was not working during our stay. That was too bad since I always enjoy a hot tub!

Not impressed

Check in and keys should be digital these days. I shouldn’t have to stop at the desk for keys or a card. The room was just okay. Decor was outdated. We had a suite. There was no bedding for the sofa bed. Called downstairs no answer. Had to go downstairs to get it. The sheet didn’t even fit the dirty mattress. We were given two pillows with one pillow case. The TV had a terrible lag. Front desk told us to disconnect and wait 10 mins for it to reset and it would work. The shower had a yellow spot on the wall where something had been removed. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Writing under the mirror from the contractors that hasn’t been painted.

Filthy dirty and rundown.

This hotel looks like it is 10 yrs old or more. The entire lobby area was a disappointment as was the patio that was pictured on the website to be large & inclusive of a fire pit, outdoor tables & chairs & a gazebo. The first room they gave us was on the first floor, we had requested to be on an upper floor - it was not busy at all so we weren’t sure why they put us there, we rea;;y could’ve had the pick of the hotel. We asked to be moved. The second room was disgustingly dirty. The comforter on the bed had blood stains all over it. The bathroom was not fully stocked w/the toiletries; the lotion bottles were already used, the toilet paper holder was falling off of the wall. The light bulb in the floor lamp was burnt out, the room had not been dusted & the air filters for the heater unit were sitting on the counter. We went down to the front desk to ask for our bed linens to be entirely changed, the phone in the room was dirty as well. When someone finally came up w/new linens, the worker handed them to us and said, here you go. We had to change the bed ourselves, there were ZERO cleaning people. Seems they never have cleaning people! The worst run hotel, the woman who checked us in was alone because other employees had called out. She had to hurry to check us in because she needed to leave at the end of her shift. Terrible hotel!
