Not worth it

Smelled strongly of weed. I knew it was gonna be somewhat sketchy but what pushed it over the edge was the fact that they said they had free breakfast and then didn’t.

Bit of a dump

Some lights in the room didn’t work. We couldn’t get the taps in either the shower or sink to work. Clerk from the front desk said he would move us but when he came he just showed us how to get the taps to work. We had done exactly what he did but you needed to have the strength of Arnold Swarzenneger to turn them on. None of the ice machines worked. There was no way to make a hot drink - no kettle and no cups. The whole place seemed very run down and a bit smelly.

Handicap accessibility

I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who has a disability or uses a wheelchair. I felt very unsafe the entire time. The floors are laminent, so they were very hard to try to balance on plus everything slid when trying to use it for balance or to stand up and the restroom. I could not even get my wheelchair into it and then the bar situation in the bathroom. Was poor. All of the light switches, we're too high and out of reach. This is only from the perspective of a handicap accessible room. And in that case, again, I felt very unsafe the entire time.

It was good enough for one night. Horrible mattress, had to ask for a Kleenex box, no breakfast in sight. But I did not find the room inside dirty as some have complained and I’m OCD.

Stay away.

Close to the port but after the 3rd room change we should have just left. Super dirty, lots of things broken. The maintenance guy was nice - but super overwhelmed at what he has to deal with. We didn’t see any cockroaches - so that’s a plus, but that’s a low bar.

Worse than expected

The only good thing I can say about this place was the location. It was only a couple blocks from where our cruise ship was leaving the next morning at San Pedro, and we stayed here after driving seven hours. If I were to hire a hooker and we went to a hotel that charged by the hour, this is what I would picture. I wasn't expecting much from the reviews and the price but this was ridiculous. Cigarette burns in the curtains and bathroom (supposed to be a non-smoking room), worn mismatched Goodwill furnishings and I didn't even know that toilet paper was made so thin until I stayed here.

Not very good

Found out the next morning the window was open. We didn't open it. I was wondering why it was so cool in the room. BTW, the heater only blew cool/cold air with it on heater setting....so not working. No blankets in room, so had to ask for one and go down to desk to get it. They don't provide tissues in room. Use up the toilet paper folks. Oh yeah, in the morning, the toilet wouldn't flush so that wasn't pretty. Well it kinda half flushed. A tired and worn out property.

It was convenient access for our cruise. We stayed one night and that was more than enough. It is worn down and in need of a huge facelift. The curtains in our room looked like they were in a knife fight, and lost. Keep your expectations in line with the reviews.

Don’t stay here if you have a choice.

“A Pre-Cruise Adventure (of Questionable Safety and Hygiene)” At first glance, this hotel looks… okay. Not great, but passable. Then you step inside, and that’s when the journey begins. The first thing you notice is that one of the lobby doors is broken—Red Flag #1. The second thing you notice is the smell. It’s hard to describe, but it lingers. Like stale air, old carpet, and regret. Behind the check-in desk sits a silent clerk, encased in thick plexiglass. He does not greet us. He does not acknowledge our presence. Red Flag #2. The lobby boasts massive stained-glass windows, which feel wildly out of place in this 2-star (extremely generous) establishment. The floor has seen unspeakable things—possibly a crime scene, possibly just decades of neglect. The walls are mysteriously full of holes, because apparently, drywall is optional. Red Flag #6. Then there’s the elevator. An old, rattling contraption that screams (literally) with every floor. It feels like it’s either going to snap and plummet, or ascend to an alternate dimension. Red Flag #11. The hallway upstairs greets you with the aroma of stale smoke and dead cats. A window stands open and refuses to close—Red Flag #27—because who needs security? The door to our room is covered in deep scratches, and the room itself smells, has holes in the walls and the sink leaks. We had a security issue at 4am and received no help. This place is unsafe for female travellers. Do not recommend.
