Whilst the hotel itself was comfortable a wedding was taking place on the day of our stay. The noise at about 2 in the morning woke my husband and I and we couldn’t get back to sleep. The revellers continued to shout for some time. We thought that a fight was taking place in the corridor at one point. The following morning when we mentioned this at reception we were told oh there was a wedding party staying. No apology given. As a consequence we won’t be staying again. We were visiting with American friends and this did not put UK in a good light

Lovely hotel great location friendly staff only real complaint would be the bed it was very tiered mattress was like a marshmallow no support whatsoever initially comfortable but woke several times in discomfort Room was very hot although there was a desk fan provided

What a lovely one night stay. Staff were welcoming and all very friendly and helpful. Bed, pillows and bedding spotlessly clean. My dog had a bed, bowl and ball left for him in the room. The room was very spacious with everything, iron, fan & hair dryer. Bar and restaurant all excellent. Plenty of parking. Will be back. 100% recommend

Gave 4 stars to1st question for the following reason - Don’t think Hotel should be exclusively “card only” (in the Hotel). It may be easier for them but technology can be unreliable sometimes and not everyone wishes to just use their card - may not even have one. Otherwise all was well. Enjoyed the fact that the chef was “adventurous” and soup or gnocchi were not just the usual flavours. Delicious.

Reunion and conference weekend. Very busy weekend. Cedar court is close to Harrogate but with limited mobility taxis are a must. The hotel had a direct line to a very good taxi company and taxis were there within 10 mins of a call. (Not exceptionally expensive).

The Superior Double room we booked for two nights was clean and comfortable although the sound proofing between rooms was non-existent - conversation as well as the tv in the adjacent room could easily be heard. All the staff we met were friendly and efficient. There was a large group of children (possibly a sports team) also staying in the hotel and the accompanying adults were content to ignore their noisy and unruly behaviour whilst in the hotel and grounds. Obviously this lack of concern for other guests is not the fault of the management

We had to move room as the basin was leaking. Quickly resolved in a friendly manner. New room ok, slightly concerned by scaffolding outside the window! New rooms bathroom also 'tired' and in need of update. All staff very friendly. Good breakfast. Fair price.

Really nice hotel. All the staff i spoke to were very friendly, with some banter and chat to make me feel right at home. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre. Nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The hotel is right on the side of a massive park/green. Nice location.

On the plus side we asked for a quiet room on a higher floor and we got that. The room was very battered and lots of stains on the carpet. Poor shower that was leaking from the ceiling. There was a safe in the room but it was locked and no instructions, we reported to reception who said someone would be up to unlock it. Next day we reported it again only to be told to that all rooms are like that "we are refurbishing and will no longer offer safest, so we've closed them all up now"...what ??? Why lock them now ?? The wheels on the luggage trolley are all perished and falling apart. Was probably a nice hotel once but it has been left to rot. About 25 minutes walk in to town which was ok for us but may be too far for some. Didn't eat there.
