The hotel has a bit of historical vibe, but the hallways have a slight musty smell. The room itself is normal and acceptable, but when I turned on the AC, it felt stuffy and humid. After mentioning it to the front desk, they provided us with a fan, which solved the issue. Later, I noticed their notice in the room mentioning the AC problem, and I took a photo of it to share here.

This hotel is not airconditioned. We discovered on the first night that the room (5th floor) became unbearably hot at night. The room temperature control on the wall did nothing. We had a terrible night's sleep with loud traffic noise due to having the window open to try to cool the room. In the morning, we complained to a young male on the reception desk, who essentially blamed us for our bad night's sleep as we didn't complain to reception at 3am. Eventually he said he would send an engineer to the room to look at the problem. This actually meant just sticking a fan in the room and not resolving anything. At the same time the reception/breakfast area was also undergoing refurb which meant the front door was unusable and people were cramped into a small area of what was effectively a building site for breakfast.

Great central location for pubs and clubs. Room wasn't hoovered. Decor looked like it had been fitted by a 14 yr old watching a YouTube video. Price was decent. Staff functional, not friendly in any way. Bed was comfortable.

Basically you can’t beat the Ibis on Princess Street. Staff are welcoming. Rooms are nice and offer all you need. Bed is good quality. I’ve stayed here many times and would return in a heartbeat. 5 minutes to Canal Street. 10 minutes to Picadilly. 15 minutes to Deansgate. Love this hotel.

Lovely staff, very kind receptionists very helpful! Room comfy, could have been slightly cleaner few limescale marks in sink, few hairs around but generally okay. Bed amazingly comfy, best nights sleep ever honestly. Good bathroom, nice shower lots of space. Thank you for a lovely stay!
