Unfortunately, my stay was extremely disappointing from the start. Upon checking into my room, I discovered an ant infestation and immediately brought it to the attention of the front desk. I showed the staff member photos of the issue, and her only response was to ask, “So do you want another room?” There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience.
I was relocated to a second room, which had basic amenities like the hair dryer and shower head were not functioning, additionally, two hotel employees were directly outside my door in the hallway making loud, high-pitched cooing noises at an animal. I appreciate love towards animals (as a fellow animal lover and mother) but the volume and duration — nearly seven minutes — were disruptive, especially in a building with thin walls where noise travels easily.
I peeked out to ask if they could lower their voices, but they simply stared at me without responding and continued their behavior upon shutting my door. This lack of professionalism was frustrating, especially considering they were on duty and had just been cleaning nearby rooms minutes before.
I returned to the front desk to share my concerns and once again was met with silence — no apology, no explanation, and no effort to address the situation. I informed the staff that I would not be staying, as I did not feel comfortable. Despite spending less than an hour on the property I was still charged the full rate with no communication or gesture of goodwill.
