Stayed here for 3 nights room was really nice overall the hotel and spa were in good condition. Breakfast was poor seemed like it was catering for coach trips full English was nothing to right home about. Hard poached eggs etc, I get there probably doing things in a budget but it can still be done well. Staff were not the friendliest bunch I’ve ever met either.

Staff very friendly. Accommodation great as facilities brilliant. Lovely pool, lawn tennis courts, table tennis, putting, beautiful gardens, lovely outdoor patio, had gym but never went, Felt the dinning area seating could be improved but am aware lots of upgrading being done. Great choice at breakfast and food lovely. Service great. We had 2 dogs and being on ground floor with door outside was perfect.

Lovely staff but this wasn’t a four star experience. Room had a shower cubicle which was more suited to a 1 star property- surely even a non deluxe room for price paid should not have a shower cubicle in this state. Dirty facecloth stayed behind the towel rail for the duration of our 4 night stay. Dirty smelly cleaning cloth left in our room beside the tea making facilities (which were very good) one day. Lovely pool but changing rooms need a proper clean! Very good breakfast and service in the restaurant. Overall ok but advise you to book a deluxe room when hopefully you’ll get better experience than we had

The room i was showing to ,wasn't the one I booked. But after a few attempts from a very helpful housekeer called Sheila we eventually was giving the right one. Had a meal in the restaurant the first night which was nice ,but breakfast was disappointing. I understand the hotel is going through a make over ,but was seen as work half done. I feel that the hotel wasn't very good quality, and over priced for 3night bed and breakfast .

BEAUTIFUL location, ideal for walks and driving around the Lake District. Very well equipped spa/resort hotel with plenty of FREE parking. Nice restaurant, VERY large room with nice view. Full bath to relax in after a day's hiking.

Lovely place, clean, some maintenance happening, but didn't disturb our 5 days. Breakfast had plenty choices including Eggs Benedict or Eggs Royale, restaurant, lovely food. Staff very friendly and helpful. 20min drive from Keswick, which was handy for more restauarants, bars and the boat trip was brilliant. Tennis Court, mini golf a bonus on-site and swimming pool was good size and good to cool down as weather was hot for our trip. Being Scottish, it would be nice to have bar open a bit later,overall stay was excellent, definitely would visit again.

The room was very clean and had just been renovated, making it feel much more comfortable. The front desk staff were not particularly friendly and could improve their customer service. However, the restaurant staff provided excellent service and deserve recognition. The swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi facilities were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Breakfast was tasty, staff super busy but still really friendly and happy to help. If visiting when the weather is as hot as it is right now (June ‘26) ask for a fan and any windows to be kept open as there was no way to cool the room other than this.
