Hanford House Inn was by far Best place in Sutter

Hanford House Inn was remodel 2/3 years ago. Breakfast at Elements attached to Inn was Excellent. Great location to Old Town Sutter Creek. Walked the 3 days and 2 nights. 12 Winery in Downtown Sutter Creek.

Lots of small touches that made it awesome. A glass of wine at check in, very homey feel, chocolate on pillows, warm homemade scones and breakfast in the morning, ice available in the lobby. Beautiful, big rooms and the rainfall showerhead was devine. I will be back for sure!

Fantastic Inn!

My husband and I were in the area visiting family. We arrived to the hotel late (my only regret!). Everyone was so kind and helpful. The place is extremely well thought out and comfortable. Food and service outstanding. Flat out a great place to stay. We will definitely be back!!! Great job Hanford House!

Front desk staff were super helpful when we couldn't work out the airconditioner. Loved that there were homemade cookies on arrival. (Wine also in the evening if you wanted.) Walkable, as right downtown, but still in a quiet area. So clean and comfy. Loved there was a unexpected outdoor patio. Went to breakfast at the onsite restaurant which was very yummy. Local told us about Gold Dust Pizza off the main strip and still walkable. Fabulous outdoor area and great pizza with no wait! Great stay! Thank you for having us!

The size of the bathroom (huge) was a surprise! Enjoyed the shower, lots of room, shower bars, great towels. The scones in the AM, delicious as was the coffee available in the lobby. Restaurant connected to the building, excellent check for hours open. Everyone friendly, helpful, especially the receptionist working in the early morning and afternoon. Stayed on the first floor, stairs to the upper floor a challenge for cane users. Had a great time and would stay here again.
