The two big pluses of the ACHAT Hotel Braunschweig is its location right across the street from Braunschweig main train station (Hauptbahnhof) and the breakfast they provide. The breakfast is amazing with a huge variety of food offerings. Probably the best hotel breakfast I've had. The only downside for me was the size of the shower in my room. It was very small and I could hardly move around in it. Water would always spray out on to the floor when I showered with the door it had. But overall it was a great place to stay especially because of the breakfast they provide. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating and spoke English very well.

Comfortable and reasonably priced hotel across the street from the main train station in town. That was its big attraction for me. An easy 15 to 30 minute walk, depending on your agility, to the major museum and the center of town.

Braunschweig surprise

A great surprise of a hotel - we were able to check in early which was a real godsend as we had a very early flight that morning. The service was excellent and the breakfast superb. The room was basic and maybe a little tired but much more than adequate. The location was good opposite the main station and a tram ride from the centre and the stadium

Die Lage ist direkt gegenüber des Bahnhofs und ca. 1.5km entfernt der Altstadt. Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal, allerdings keine Klimaanlage (bei tropischen Nächten ein echter Nachteil). Was sehr unangenehm war waren die Kopfkissen, bei denen -vermutlich aus hygienischen Gründen- die Kisseneinlage wasserdicht beschichtet war und bei der man deshalb zum einen noch mehr schwitzt und die wegen der Plastikartigen Beschichtung auch regelmäßig aus dem Bezug herausrutscht!

Dieses Haus muss dringend seine Reinigungsabläufe optimieren. Nach Check-In 5!!! mal das Zimmer gewechselt aufgrund von mangelhafter Sauberkeit. Jedesmal Haaren im Bett und auf den Handtüchern gefunden. Und wir sprechen hier nicht von einem vereinzelten Haar. Auch im Bad an den Fliesen hingen Haare. Die Fliesen waren teilweise auch nicht richtig gereinigt und wiesen Staub, klebrige Rückstände von was auch immer und Kalkflecken auf. Gleiches Spiel bei dem Waschtisch. Selbst der Mitarbeitende vom Hotel hat keine gute Meinung von dem Haus. Kleiner Pluspunkt beim letzten Zimmer, in dem ich dann auch geblieben bin, es hatte eine Klimaanlage.
