German GP 2014

I chose to stay at the Arcadia Hotel Heidelberg (which is actually located in Schwetzingen) due to its close proximity to the Hockenheimring motor racing circuit. The hotel is located in what can only be described as a large industrial estate. The rooms leave a bit to be desired in regards of facilities, lacking air conditioning, a safe and the mini bar was out of order when we were there. For the most part, the staff were friendly and helpful, which fairly good English. It is ideally located if you are planning on travelling to the Hockenheimring, with a taxi ride lasting less than 10 minutes. A short walk from the hotel is the town if Schwetzingen, which has many restaurants and bars. It isn't a rival to the Hilton, but aside from the relative lack of room facilities, it isn'😇t too bad at all. Breakfast was nice in the morning

Einrichtung sehr in die Jahre gekommen, Sauberkeit (Flecken im Teppichboden, lose Fliesen im Bad, Saubertkeit im Bad) könnte besser sein, wenn man genau hinsieht zwar oberflächlich sauber, aber offensichtlich schon längere Zeit nicht mehr gründlich gereinigt (Staub, Flecken). Personal sehr freundlich. Lage und Park-, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gut. Umliegende Gastronomie gut zu erreichen.

Reception war gut. Zimmerservice ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Das Deckbett gerade so hingeworfen das Kopfkissen so wie aufgestanden. Den Schlafanzug auf das andere Bett geschmissen. ????? Bei einem Preis von 13,50€ für das Frühstück muß man mehr erwarten dürfen. Naja die Tage waren ja bald um .Aber schon schade!!

Het geld niet waard

Sterk verouderde kamers, vieze vloerbedekking, vieze badkamer. Ontbijt was goed, alleen jammer dat niemand de tafels afruimde en je dus elke ochtend aan een smerige volle tafel zat met de troep van je voorganger. Geen airco op de heetste dag ooit in Duitsland. En dat allemaal voor een bedrag van 490 euro voor 2 nachtjes...........

Nice and Clean

This was clean and nice but not in a very good location. Not very walkable. Parking was easy. No AC much like the rest of Germany. It was incredibly hot during our stay. Just a decent place to sleep and move on.

チェックインの際、中年の女性受付係が外で客か、知り合いと談笑しながら煙草を吸っていた。私と2人組のビジネス客が一緒に入ったのを見ても、すぐに煙草を止めなかった。感じが悪かった。2人組が先だったため、チェックインに5分以上も待たされた。前金制。大型ホテルで、車利用者にはアクセスは良さそう。部屋は広い。夜シャワーを浴びた。仕切りはカーテンだけで、水が漏れ、浴室の床が水浸しになった。翌朝になっても乾かなかった。持参したビーチサンダルが大いに役立った。

Hotel was fine - have stayed here once before so was happy to go back. Nothing amazing but nothing dreadful either. Quite a large room and perfectly clean. Just a little on the warm side. Staff really friendly and helpful. Would say the breakfast was a little pricey for what was on offer.
