Being visiting Goettingen for 20’years, the location, if going on a morning train is excellent…literately 5 min (timed it). Also close to city centre, so for a visit with kids a good option for affordable 2 rooms. BUT, this is not 4 stars, not 3 stars, might pull a 2,5 star. So if they sold, given the reasonably good price, it as what they were, the rating would be higher….but 4 stars is just dishonest.

The hotel has no clear signs set up how to access parking at the hotel. As a consequence, we parked across the street in a parking garage only to discover the next day that the hotel has parking space if you pass a gate that apparently is open all the time which is not apparent from the road. It also is somewhat obscure why the hotel is charging for parking when the spots are not marked at all, and cars can enter the area as there are a cinema and other public venues (event center, museum) located as well as three restaurants, all of whom are not associated with the hotel. The interior of the hotel has the vibe of a youth hostel as far as I am concerned, and when I booked the hotel, its name was 'GHotel' which changed to 'Four Points Flex' in a matter of weeks (and listed 'Marriott' as the wifi access point provider) which just sounds weird. The wifi was virtually absent. we had very spotty internet access. If you come by train, the hotel is on convenient walking distance. Other than that, it has no distinguishable qualities from other hotels.

Værelset var koldt og der var ingen ekstra tæpper. Morgenmaden er meget standard og ikke pengene værd. Men værst var at ladestanderen ikke virkede. Personalet havde intet ansvar for den, men et eller andet std er det vel hotellets ansvar, at de er tilgængelige. Det er nærmest det eneste, vi booker hotel efter, og så er det lidt tarveligt at betale 17 euro for parkering - når laderen ikke virker.

Das Hotel hat unter praktischen Gesichtspunkten eine sehr gute Lage, da der Bahnhof, die Innenstadt, die Autobahnanbindung und ein großes Parkhaus und Parkplatz in der Nähe sind. Fussläufig in 2 Minuten Entfernung befindet sich ein gutes Restaurant und ein großes Kinocenter. Wir haben auf der Seite des Hotels bei geöffneten Fenster übernachtet, die nicht zum Bahnhof zeigt und die war sehr ruhig. Die Betten waren bequem. Es gab Internet und Fernsehen und ein sauberes Bad. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In der Bar kann man sich auch gemütlich aufs Sofa "fläzen" oder in Gruppen zusammensitzen. Frühstück haben wir nicht getestet. Der Kaffee von der Bar war zwar kein Filterkaffee, aber trotzdem lecker.

Äußerst aufmerksames und zuvorkommendes Personal in allen Bereichen. Zugewandt und lösungsorientiert bei Wünschen. Vielseitiges Frühstück, die gemütliche Bar lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Lage des Hotels ist zum Zentrum gut fußläufig erreichbar, die Nähe zum Bahnhof ist unschlagbar. Bei geschlossenem Fenster ist die Geräuschkulisse nicht wahrnehmbar. Ich würde hier wieder buchen und einchecken.

Inte en destination i sig men helt ok.

Vi stannade en natt i Göttingen på väg ner mot Italien. Hotellet låg helt okej placerat, det fanns parkering och frukost. Vi kunde promenera in till centrum för att äta och se Svenska damerna besegra Tyskland i fotbolls-EM. Så allt som allt en bra vistelse. Hotellet var under renovering och området kanske inte var jätteinspirerande. Men personalen var väldigt trevlig!

Standardhotell med bra personal

Ett standardhotell. Lite för dyrt för sin standard. Bra personal! Saknar dricksglas på rummet. En sak man inte tänker på men saknar väldigt mycket när det inte fanns. Sheraton har en lyxig konnotation men tänk på detta som standard så blir du inte besviken. Tråkigt område och en promenad in till stan som inte hade varit trevlig att gå själv på kvällen.
