Lovely stay at Napa!

I stayed in the cosy hotel for two nights and it is just lovely! The product selection like coffee capsule and shampoo etc are all ecofriendly which I appreciate. I would still love to come back again later but if I think the following points may worth your consideration if you are thinking - 1. It is not easy to walk to the outlet opposite to the hotel so be prepared that you will still need to take a Uber in the end. 2. As with all buildings with some history, the soundproof is not perfect. You may hear some vehicles or next door laughters if you are particularly sensitive. But the staff and atmosphere are all perfect :)

The staff was very nice. The entire hotel smells like waffles and syrup. The rooms, the hallways, and the AC/Heater exudes the smell as well. The bed and pillows are lumpy.

We totally enjoyed our 2 night stay. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast is great and the chocolate chip cookies at 6pm really hit the spot. The grounds are well kept. The room was spacious and well appointed.

Wonderful Inn in Napa

Centrally located inn with large, comfortable, and clean rooms. Quiet at night, room darkening roman shades to help keep the room dark as well. Nice morning breakfast with small omelets, waffles/or pancakes, bakery items, and yogurt- perfect start to the day.

Nice setting. It was easy to get to. Likely we could have walked to downtown but we drove. It was quiet and we enjoyed our first stay in Napa!

Cute but not functional

The Elm House Inn is centrally located and close to downtown Napa with convenient parking on either side of the hotel. Although we had a spacious room, it lacked comfortable air temperature as the A/C unit was a wall unit partially blocked by a large dresser and couch with made it ineffective, especially in the bathroom area. The bathroom has one pedestal sink with no counter space to put anything. No room for hair dryer except to set in the sink- same with toothbrush, etc. There was lots of street noise and you can hear the conversations from the lobby which was right under us. There is a “white noise” machine to help with this, but not desirable to listen to constantly. There was daily breakfast that was included- tasty, but no variation from day to day. Baked cookies are available at 6:00pm- although tasty, serving them in the afternoon (3:00 or 4:00) would be more appropriate than right at dinner time. The management did provide some fans for the room to accommodate the heat as there are no ceiling fans- Napa gets pretty warm during the summer days, and the sun sets on that side of the hotel. The furnishings were dated, and the rug needs to be cleaned and repositioned so as not to show the floor tape. Bed comfort was average, multiple pillows of varying softness. Coffeemaker and fridge in room. Large couch, but no end table or coffee table to set anything on. Due to the above issues, I would recommend elsewhere for your stay.
