Econo Lodge - Smiths Falls

We only stayed one night, the people at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was ok. The hotel it self needs some work the cabinets in the breakfast area looked like they are falling apart. The hallway had a funny smell and room was outdated and the bathroom sink was all scratched and bath tiles had some mode, queen bed felt more like a double so a little uncomfortable for two people. The elevator could use some cleaning too.

No thanks.

The hotel was clean and staff were friendly, but it was all extremely rundown. Ceiling was flaking and falling apart. Thr balcony looked as if it was crumbling away, and was covered in pigeon feces. Elevator did not feel safe at the top floor (noticeable and wortisome shaking as it reached the 5th floor, everytime). Vagrants living on the lot made for uncomfortable dog walks. Shower took almost 5 minutes to.produce hot water. I would not stay here again.

Hôtel vétuste, passable pour une nuitée. Nous avons loué 2 chambres et les toilettes étaient bouchés dans l'une d'elles. La porte bloque pour fermer et le petit déjeuner est limité à part les pan cake frais. Vue sympa sur le canal et Litterie ok

Very old building, needs plenty of upgrades. Room was relatively good, bedding and towels were clean. Balcony overlooking Canal was interesting. Breakfast was adequate. The elevator was small, slow and didn't work all the time. Not certain I'd stay again.

Convenient location

Room was old but clean. Bed comfortable, towels nice and soft, air conditioner worked very well. Location was convenient for what we needed and canal behind the hotel makes a pretty view from rooms. Staff not friendly or helpful. Building is old—doors stick and carpet needs to be replaced. Pub next door was excellent!

Only hotel with rooms

Older business in need of alot of renovation. It was the last options in our budget. Non smoking rooms smelled like smoke from guests smoking on balcony, carpets where old and questionably clean, bathroom needed a deep cleaning. What was good, lovely view if no one was smoking on neighbouring balcony, A/C worked and the sheets where clean.

Upon arrival the front entrance had huge spiders and cobwebs all over as if the spiders have grown by the generation. Upon entering, there was no one at the front entrance. A regular saw me waiting for a while and yelled the staffs name which made her appear from a dining hall. Upon entering my room it REAKED of body odour. Everything was covered in dust. The ceiling has water damage and was falling apart the walls shedding. When approaching the staff with these concerns of smell, and uncleanliness they said “I know, I wouldn’t book here again if I were you”. When trying to cancel the booking unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a refund offered and they changed my room but it wasn’t much better than the first resulting in barely any sleep. I had better sleep in my car that night. Worst experience ever. Definitely would NOT RECOMMEND.
