I travel all over the state for work and I've been in my fair share of hotels of all kinds. This is one I would absolutely never stay at again.
Staff could not find my reservation when I checked in. Took two of them a solid 15 minutes to figure it out. There were no reassurances that they would make things right and get me a room somewhere or somehow, just communicating between themselves about what was going on, and letting me know that they were booked solid and didn't have any availability, and even asking if I was sure this was the right hotel after I'd already shown them my confirmation email & number! Even after they figured out their error and fixed it in order to give me a room, there were no apologies made for the confusion or situation. I understand that mishaps and mistakes happen, but customer service/people skills could have gone a long way here.
They said there was a $25 pet fee, though on hotels.com it says two dogs stay free. When I pointed that out she just said "thank for letting us know." But when I brought it up again later, the other woman said she would waive it, which was nice.
There is only a tiny strip of grass near a road for dogs to use, and I was cussed out by someone who appeared to be having a psychotic break while I was there with my dog. The general area felt very unsafe.
There were only two extremely flat and uncomfortable pillows. The table was so wobbly that it was difficult to use. And the charging ports on the lamps did not work at all.
