The hotel was a welcome respite especially as a middle of the night hotel change. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. The room wonderfully airconditioned, with comfortable beds and good smelling towels. Easy to get most places from their location. The fridge allowed us nice cold water, a rarity in England. London in the summertime can be really expensive, so finding a place like Aptel East —a solid, comfortable budget hotel— was a real lucky find for my family and I on our summer trip to the city. The rooms are, at least in my case, like a small kitchenette with comfortable beds and climate control, and clean showers and bathrooms. The fixtures in the showers could use a little polishing, but overall I had no complaints. The staff were extra helpful in not only receiving a package for me ahead of time, and holding luggage for me to be picked up my a courier service, but they were also very responsive on email comms. Buses are very accessible to the hotel, but most major train stations are a solid 10-12 minute walk away. Still, a very good central location in Whitechapel and I would stay there again.
