The room was clean though in need of some updating. Mattress was ok. Paying 10 to park on the property seemed inappropriate. No coffee until 8:00 AM as it appears that there is no one on the property in the night hours. Of course, the price was below just about anything I could find. It was the only place near the medical center I had an early appointment at. Just a couple miles to Coco Palms area with nice restaurants and seaside park etc.

The hotel was extremely rundown, the deadbolt didn’t lock, very sketchy characters in parking lot, no heat in the room (it was freezing out), no hot water, room was dirty, sheets and comforters-threadbare. Hotels.com refused to refund and we had a surgical procedure very close so we stayed. The metro rail was right next-door and ran all night along! Sirens and traffic noise were excessive! We felt unsafe and pushed a dresser and a couch in front of the door!

The check in was great. But when im in the room the lamp switch didn't work so i had to disconnect it from the wall.When i was leaving in the morning i hear this loud commotion from a room next to my cheverolet suberban and as i open the trunk a man pops out and asked me if I spoke Spanish. I said yes and he says u parking to close to the wall and housekeeping can scratch your truck with the cart. I said im leaving already no worries. He then passes by me as im walking back to the room and he says hopefully they scratch it. Mind you this is a painter. Not security or hotel staff. A painter working on the hotel. Then front desk tells the painter do whatever the hell you want i don't care. Then comes housekeeper bolting out of front desk screeming. If u ask me i have never experienced such an aggressive stay ever. I can imagine if i didn't speak Spanish. I wouldn't of known everything they were saying about me snd my truck. Threatening to damage my truck was not something i was expecting while im checking out. But you can't expect anything better from the cheapest hotel in town. Floors dirty and haven't been mopped in who knows how long. Mind you i asked front desk if my truck was ok and he said you are completely fine there. No need to move. But in the morning he's telling the painter do whatever the hell you want. The hotel is called Gables Inn. Not Havana inn. Get u some American speaking staff because talking Spanish only....Im latino but confrontation like that is a nono.

Clean room, 2 beds, 2 towels extra paint everywhere so lots of spots. Gap under door so have a towel handy for that. Elevated train every 20 minutes so set uour watch, free vibrations from that.
