Last minute booking as we were just driving through town. The customer service was great as we were checked in by a very friendly man. Our room had two wonderful comfy beds, and we were told that it was newly renovated. Great stay!

Nice remodeled room. I was the first to stay in it. New shower, microwave, frig, cable TV and coffee maker. Heating/cooling unit uses a remote.

TL;DR: Star Hotel Route 66 in Williams offers a budget-friendly stay with a great location, but thin walls, a tiny bathroom, and missing interior lock were major drawbacks. Star Hotel Route 66 in Williams is a centrally located, budget-friendly option with ample parking and convenient access to downtown businesses. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and I appreciated the raised bed design. However, there were some notable downsides. The walls are very thin, so I heard a lot of traffic and noise from other rooms. The heater didn’t work well, and the bathroom was extremely small. My biggest concern was the lack of an interior-only lock on the door, which had been removed. This became a serious issue when someone was incorrectly assigned my room while I was sleeping, leaving me feeling panicked and unable to sleep well. While the location and price are positives, the security issue is something that needs addressing.

It's a historic place. Good location and clean rooms. Lots of car models displayed in the office, which demomstrte the motel's history. The room is some cold and the air-conditioner's sound disturb my sleep that night.

It is tough not to give this rustic hotel 5 stars all around, but it is aged. The condition for age was good and the property very clean. The heating units are extremely loud and located above bed. I am from Southern AZ, and not used to the cold, I found myself in need of extra blankets in the middle of the night. Ask ahead. Which reminds, I noticed a "extra person" charge of $30 on both rooms I booked. This after I stated 2 adults/2children. That is my only complaint, as I feel this is very deceptive. It was questioned, but not removed, because "others" before lied. For that reason alone $60.00 overcharge, I will not be looking to stay here anytime soon again. Situated right on Route 66 with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. I booked through Hotels.com and the Owner/Operator claimed they could do nothing about the charges.

Comfortable and Clean

The motel was clean and relatively comfortable. It is a little dated, but affordable. There are many attractions within 2 miles, so it was the perfect location for our family trip. Water pressure was great and the water was hot. Overall, a great stay.

Everything was great the one and only complaint was the heater unit was noisy, however, it would not keep me from staying there again. It is walking distance to everything. Beds were comfortable. 15.00 pet fee which is cheaper than many. Fridge and microwave are handy, too. Overall very happy with it.

Nous nous sommes retrouvés dans l’obligation de réserver une seconde chambre parce que la chambre pour 4 adultes réservée ne disposait que d’un lit double !!! Je cite « si vous rentrez à 4 dedans c’est bon non ? » « Je ne sais pas comment c’est possible que vous ayez eu cette chambre à 4 » De plus, la chambre n’a pas de couette alors qu’il fait -4 degrés Celsius dehors !!!!
