Gorgeous property, everything available right there. Great amenities, definitely somewhere we would stay for an entire weekend next time and just stay on the resort to explore and relax. Staff was very friendly and kind.

8/10 Very good

Beautiful location but unfortunately weather prevented us from fully enjoying the amenities. They did make a nice fire for us when asked which we enjoyed in the colonial style living room. Clean rooms and great soaking tub In ours.

It was the 3 rd place in Maine we stayed at…and this was by far, our favorite! The Inn, the Staff, the grounds….and so much to do👍😊

This was fine but did not live up to price or expectations. Pretty obvious ownership has recently changed hands and not invested in the property.

The complimentary boat tour with Ray was amazing! Rid was great driving us to and from town!
Eric, 2-night trip

The room was very nice with a great view of the water. Very big room. The resort had a shuttle to take us into town. Great restaurant. Front desk was very helpful with my questions. Would highly recommend this place.

Our room was very clean and spacious. Staff at the registration and restaurants were friendly and efficient. Overall the hotel surroundings were beautiful. Wood cabinets in room may need to be updated.

10/10 Exceptional

Property and view are lovely. Only reason for giving a 4 star is that the ocean pool is being renovated. Their other pool is very nice but was looking forward to sitting ocean side at their pool. Plan to come back another time to enjoy that seaside pool! Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. A great place to grab a cocktail and sit in an adirondack chair watching the boats go by. Restaurant food is also quite good.
Ruth, 2-night trip

Could Be Great

Beautiful setting…a truly special spot. A good deal of deferred maintenance. Ownership has made an investment in keeping a higher standard of maintenance in the public areas in the main building and the restaurants. Most other spaces need a little TLC. I hate to say anything negative, as it is a lovely old Inn that with a little refresh could be very special.
Wade, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The cabin was a disappointing feeling of the 1970s.
Anne G, 2-night trip

Wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 days for our 40th Anniversary! The staff here was amazing! We met some wonderful people from all over the globe! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is amazing being right on the bay! It is very convenient to shopping, dining and groceries. There are 2 restaurants on the property, we ate at both of them and they were both very good. Smore's in the fire pit every night! Free boat ride! Plenty of seating on the outdoor patio! Chairs set out on the hillside to enjoy the ocean view! Hiking trails that connect directly to the property! The gym is small and the equipment needs some attention. I love that they had bottled water readily available in the gym! One pool was closed for repair but the other was open and we enjoyed using it! We look forward to staying here again!
Brian, 4-night trip

2/10 Poor

Our hotel room smelled musty and like a dirty wet rag. We told the front desk and all they did was give us a dehumidifier which was loud and needed to be restarted every hour. The smell gave me a headache that I ended up checking out of the hotel earlier than expected. For the price tag, it was unpleasant and disappointing.
Hanh, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

Move along

Outdated needs paint so sadly neglected it is not chic to hang onto the vestiges of what was acceptable in the 50s in the 60s and to substitute someone’s dinner with the ingredients. Triggering allergy concerns is just socially irresponsible. Add that to the tsunami of a leak that they clearly know about but put a colander under the sink for in the kitchenette. Ridiculous. They should never have rented out this room.
stephanie, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Poor Treatment

We booked for two nights and the morning of our arrival we received a call that we would have to change rooms! They blamed this on a "computer issue" rather than taking responsibility for their error and trying to fix the problem or offering compensation. They said we could cancel our reservation knowing that the BoothBay area was fully booked for the weekend and without offering to find us equivalent accommodations. Very poor treatment of hotel guests.
Arie, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Clean room. Great staff. They were committed to helping to create a great first time experience.
John, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Our room was old and disgusting. Supposed to have a garden view which was the back of buildings. Carpet was ripped, old with big stains. Room had not been updated in probably 40 years. Bathroom smelled liked a smoker smoked in it. We could not wait to leave and were grateful we had planned only 1 night. Booked a king room and none were available when we arrived so we had a double. Again would not have stayed there if no king rooms were available. The overall property was beautiful but needed maintenance and updating. We will be requesting a refund when we stop long enough to contact hotels com.
