There was not much of a view from the balcony (none from the room), but it was a very short walk to the beach. The staff was very friendly at check-in. Rooms were clean, but the beds in our room were hard- the pull out sofa bed was more comfortable than the beds in the bedroom.

We rented at Ocean House but were placed in a building next door. There was a large over flowing garbage can on the landing to our room. The lamp in the bedroom was broken. The unit was very old and in need of updates. The hot water temp in the room is not controlled and gets extremely hot. Out of their control but be aware there is a train track very close that sounds its horn at all hours. The biggest plus for this location is their friendly and helpful front desk staff.

Guest are very polite welcomed with an smile in their faces. Rooms cleans towels are clean and new. Only downside one room has black mold in the bathroom tiles. Otherwise good place to enjoy some relaxing days.

The building is old as all in the area we stay two nights different rooms in the same facility due to Expedia special the second room was a mismatch of things. The only thing the bathroom has mold in the tiles clean but mold in the tiles. The toilet seat is white while the toilet pink maybe from the 60s. The room was clean and looked that some furniture where from a home or somewhere. I do appreciate the cleanest and the reception girl was very friendly positive point from someone that live in Florida and first time visiting this area people very friendly big smile in their faces. Love our experience in Maine. Eating Lobsters and clam chowder. Get ride of that black mold. Thank you for being so friendly and serve such good food.

I stayed here for a few days for my cancer surgery and it was the best stay I’ve experienced on this grueling journey! The beach was so easy to walk to and the rooms were so cozy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The pictures of the hotel and rooms are misleading. But I know that is very common for hotels to post pictures in this manner. The queen size room was very small. We had to remove a chair just so we could walk around the bed. The Fire Department came and blocked us in the parking lot. After speaking with the fireman, they said the alarm went off but it happens often there so they did not evacuate the hotel. We explored the hotel after noticing a man with a cigarette, but the hotel signs says no smoking. We found filthy rooms in the bar area during that exploration. Our room was clean and we had plenty of hot water for our showers and towels, so we were grateful for that.

Lovely stopover stay at this hotel . Bright and clean room with a sea view and lovely furnishings in the hotel lobby area. Check in was at a property along the road but this was advised at the time of booking and reminders sent on the day of arrival.
