住宿条件和星级相符，位置不是很好，从酒店驱车去市中心很堵，单程开了1个多小时，不知道是不是因为这个城市有会议的原因。介意住黑人区的不要预订此酒店，据说是在黑人区，不过又待考证

I hope this message finds you well. I apologize for the delay in responding. My husband and I got married on March 29th—the day we were supposed to check in to the Chicago Southland Hotel—and we just recently returned from our honeymoon. My husband and brother-in-law checked into the hotel the night before our wedding but left within an hour of arrival. According to them, the hotel appeared to be under renovation, lacked cleanliness, and felt unsafe. Items were randomly placed, creating an unwelcoming environment. Based on their feedback, my husband asked me to cancel our reservation immediately, which I did right after our conversation. I fully understand that I would not receive a complete refund, as the cancellation occurred less than twenty-four hours before check-in. However, I anticipated receiving a partial refund. Additionally, I noticed that I did not receive a confirmation email acknowledging the cancellation. Upon reviewing this email thread, it seems my cancellation may not have been processed. We originally chose the Chicago Southland Hotel for its convenient location near our wedding reception, its attractive room photos online, and the amenities it offered. While I have had positive experiences using Expedia in the past and intend to continue using your services, unfortunately, this particular experience was disappointing. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you for your time and attention.

The clerk called me 2 hours before Check-in while. I was on the road driving from my 8 hour drive and told me that they was renovating. And they cannot accommodate all my amenities that I had and ask me if I wanted to cancel my reservation 2 hours before my checking in. I'm. In after 8 hour drive, didn't I accommodate me well at all?Just very horrible, no breakfast.No swimming pool no nothing

It is outrageous that this hotel rents as is!

The hotel is clearly under renovation. This was Not indicated in its description on "hotels.com." The hotel's lobby is Literally filled with boxes, construction materials, etc., and the walls and front lobby show evidence of being painted and patched up. Inside the actual room, it was Very hot, and the a.c. kept shutting itself off before reaching the temperature to which my brother and I set it. The bed pillows were tiny, not unlike something you might expect to see on a sofa, but certainly Not appropriate for queen sized beds. There was nowhere to hang our clothing because the closet had no bar or shelving. It was Literally Just a niche with a wall bracket for an iron but no iron or ironing board were inside it [or inside the room even]. There was hair and something dry and red atop the toilet. We left the room minutes after we entered it and checked out after sharing our concerns with the attending front desk representative. He explained that a manager would not be available to process our refund until Monday, March 31, 2025. He was pleasant and the Only bright spot about our brief and highly disappointing experience at Chicago Southland Hotel this evening-March 28, 2025. Thus far, I've spoken with representatives of both hotels.com and Southland Chicago Hotel re: my refund and received zero relief. The frustration and inconvenience I experienced that evening is accruing compounded interest daily per the fact that I've yet to.be issued my refund.

didnt get told that there was remodeling going on. went into my room and the bed sheets had holes in them. the room had grease on the tables and dust every where. got switched to another room and the bed sheets have hairs. no towels in the room had to go ask for some and towels are all dirty. overall not a good stay here and im asking for a refund

Horror movie

My experience there was horrible. It took us almost 30 minutes to get checked in because they couldn’t find our rooms reservations, There were drug dealers and users in the lobby, Lobby seats had holes and what looked like dried up stains. Then when we got to the rooms they were horrible. The window panes were chipped had paint everywhere. The furniture was tore up carpet extremely dirty bathroom toilet dirty shower filthy. I wash my hands in the sink and the sink started leaking onto the floor.The outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. The second one didn’t have a lock on the door the small refrigerator was on the floor with the microwave stacked on top of it. The outlets weren’t covered weirs showing Families living there with the doors open going in and out of their neighbor rooms lol and i could go on. I have the pictures to prove that this isn’t made up. They’ll only allow me to upload 8 photos but they’re so much more.
