Hacienda Santa Rosa de Lima is pure magic. Time stood still. A perfectly relaxed and old time elegant property. And it’s off the beaten path, situated a couple of hours from Merida and an hour or so from Uxmal. Staff is friendly, laid back and hospitable. Couldn’t have loved the vibe more. Perfect.

It’s a lovely property. Our room was large with attractive furnishings, and it had a huge outdoor area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rustic elegance that transports you back to colonial times. For me, it was a journey to the past, when I used to visit my grandparents at “La finca”. Large rooms and spacious bathrooms. Bath amenities were extraordinary, made with local honey. Smooth and fragrant. Food was excellent, but service was outstanding. Helpful and always ready to assist you in any way. We used it as a base to visit the many archaeological sites and Celestún, all within an hour drive.
