We had a great stay at the Mechelen Holiday Inn! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. It's very central so you are in walking distance to the bus/train station and all the local attractions. Good breakfast selection overall for my partner, though fairly basic for me as a vegan. I appreciated having plant-based milk and fruit salad available, but adding a few more hot or cold plant-based items and fresh vegetables would improve the breakfast options.

We stayed here as a stop over before travelling back to the UK. The location is great if you’re wanting to explore! It’s very clean, very comfortable bed and great use of space in the rooms. The staff appeared to have limited English or limited knowledge of things at times but all friendly enough. Limited signage in English. The breakfast was poor, it’s ok for a free breakfast but I’m very glad I paid nothing for it.

It was a great stay with good service overall, the room was comfortable, the front desk girls at our arrival were superb. The breakfast is good, however I wish you would’ve thought about options for people with food allergies.
