Property is in a great location and used to be a great option for downtown Athens. But it’s clearly gone downhill under the new ownership. Main issue was that a swarm of ants appeared overnight on the vanity sink counter outside the bathroom. I told staff about it as soon as I saw them that morning and the ants were gone when we came back that evening, but they reappeared overnight on the second night. The room also had no ice bucket room and when I asked for one at the front desk the lady on duty said housekeeping was not on property at the time and she didn’t know how to get me one. I mentioned or the ice bucket the next morning when I reported the ants, but still never got one. Beds were fine although the covers were a bit too short the way they tucked them in. The people I spoke with were all polite, they just didn’t address the issues I brought up. Just sad to see how much this place has fallen off since it was opened as the Foundry. Still has some charm and a lot of potential but it needs some attention.

Average hotel

The room was clean, but the finishes and furnishings were older- the bathroom was tiny. The window air conditioning was set at 66 to keep the room cool… the side of the bed near the ac was cold, but the other side got no air, so it was hot. For the price we paid, I would stay at another hotel next time.

not professional

Rooms are old and need a remodel dirt in the corners of the room. No microwave. Toilet, broken and running the whole time. Accidentally turned the AC on to the heat. And it made a fire. Fire alarm went off. Front desk, clerk, agreed I would check out late however I was awoken by housecleaning. early in the morning. Places ran by a bunch of children. The foundry for food service is closed three days out of each week Not professional. I will never stay there again.

Nice hotel, walk to downtown

Very nice hotel, great location, walk to downtown, comfortable beds and AC worked well. Staff was helpful and friendly. Had a fridge and a nice tea kettle/ coffee pot. Bathroom had a nice shower. I missed having a microwave, but other than that the room was great.

Good Spot for UGA games

We were only there for one night, but the front desk staff was friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. There is an onsite restaurant but there are about 3 things on the menu for dinner; it's definitely more of a bar.

OK but not my favorite

I’ve stayed here twice, and it’s definitely a vibe. They’re going for quirky but it’s just not for me. Both times I’ve stayed, the rooms felt damp and musty. It’s very bare bones in terms of amenities. The decor is fun but also a little creepy. Decorating the dresser by lining it with old portraits is certainly a choice.

Great spot in Athens

We had a great experience. This location is perfect for visiting downtown Athens or the University of Georgia. We walked to a football game and came back to a nice, quiet hotel room.

Highly recommend for a game or show and beyond

The room was large and well appointed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We asked for additional pillows by text and they were promptly delivered. I liked the text communication with the front desk since it was away from our room. It was very convenient. The property was very clean and well kept. It was also very convenient to The Classic Center.

A truly unique hotel with great history. They have an actual coffee shop in the lobby but no breakfast the the restaurant that’s attached is rarely open. This hotel is perfectly placed close to great food and entertainment.
