Run Down Resort

Was greeted by a woman having a bad day, she couldn’t find my registration and said she had to enter it and only had an upstairs room available. I had requested 2 beds and she stated she only had a king room. We agreed and went to the room to find the grounds run down, unkept and not inviting. In the room there was no coffee packets so I asked the front desk for some and she stated she would send someone to the room, never came so I called the after hour number and he stated housekeeping was locked and he couldn’t get in. Ended up going to the store Saturday morning to get some and went back to office to ask again only to find she had it behind the counter all along and never needed to send someone to the room in the first place. Terrible customer service. It also appears the hotel has turned into long term living for several residents and made the walks a little uncomfortable, we were with our grand children while we were walking past rooms with people sitting there smoking marijuana. We have stayed here several times in the past but don’t think we will be back.

La mesera Monica muy agradable. El check in fue rapido. Faltó un poco de limpieza en la piscina y si me volvería a quedar, en general es aceptable las instalaciones.

8/10 Very good

Needs a lot a attention to the grounds. Staff was great though.

2/10 Poor

Golf Course was in great shape! easy access. But, clubhouse was filthy, parking lot was full of weeds. And service personnel were no where to be found. Absolutely terrible. I also, found a small baggy containing drugs in the parking lot, i had to pick up and discard before any kids came across it. Place is old and outdated, you have stay with permanent residents on property. Will not be going back.

The rooms (not suites) leave something to be desired. Need much updating.

I’ve enjoyed this property in the past, but this time the pool area was terrible. Patio furniture was broken, messy, no pool towels, the hot tub was too dirty to get in. Our room was clean, but the door was broken and difficult to open and lock. Our room was not ready at check in time. And the view from our window was the tennis court turned into a trash heap. Old mattresses, broken golf carts, paint cans. All sorts of garbage. I’ll stay somewhere else next time.

This place needs an update. There is just no way around it everything is old and smells old the door doesn’t lock properly and the dead bolt was broken. My neighbor said it best “this place is a dump”. But if you need a semi safe place to stay at a reasonable price or you are short on cash this is the place for you. Jeff and I wanted a nice dinner and a game of golf, not the place for us. Everything was similar to the quality of a diner.

Friendly laid back environment

Very nice staff and great priced food and drinks in restaurant but closed too early.

2/10 Poor

Disappointed

From pictures the resort looked more upgraded. I was disappointed in the resort , the A/C in our unit was horrible the room was hot the entire day, it was cooler to keep windows open at night. The pool was not like the photos the hot tub was green. We will never stay here again

Dissatisfied

Property is outdated, pool and jacuzzi was filthy , no phone in the room
Andre, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

We paid nearly $400 a night for our room yet didn’t get housekeeping services once. When we checked in it seemed like we were inconveniencing the receptionist and each time we needed to ask the concierge desk a question, we were met with the same response; as if we were bothering them. The bartenders at the lobby bar were very nice and engaging and the food/drinks were good. The pool is okay, but the prices for rentals is through the roof. Overall, it’s a decent hotel, but not for the service provided and not if we have to call down for supply refills in our room.

Could be a very nice place. Needs some updating and better service after hours when needed.

Disappointing

The room had some bathroom cleanliness issues, no water in hot tub and coffee maker did not work. No breakfast as promised. I have stayed here 2 times before but this was not a great experience this time.

2/10 Poor

Not so good

The room was janky. Overpriced. Tv did not work well. Coffee machine put grinds all in my coffee
Sarafina, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The staff was very polite and helpful. The pool and hot tub are only open on the weekend and no heat, even in the hot tub. Pool area needs some TLC. Maid service only comes every other day. Lots of parking available. Rooms were spacious and clean.
8-night trip

2/10 Poor

1982 nightmare.

Upgrade to a Motel 6.. booked this place thing it looked nice...this place is AWFUL. Checked in went to my room. Get to the door first thing I notice is that the door frame is literally rotted. Go inside and step back in time to 1982 except like abandoned mall that someone partial cleaned. half inch gaps in poorly installed pergo flooring to stub your toes on as you walk over the wave that is supposed the floor, old food on the headboard something dribbled on the floor by the bed I don't want to know what it is, no phone to call the front desk.. then it really began the moaning outside where people were having sex in the courtyard and the grand finale your 7am wake up call a man outside your bedroom window banging on a garbage bin with wrench. This place is the epitome of disgusting.

They were very helpful upon check in. I did not see that the reservation with expedia said no check in after 6pm but i booked with the room after 8pm! The maintenance man called the manager and they checked me in anyways. Thank you! I love this place and stay here whenever i come to arizona.

Better options available in the area

I’m sure this place used to be very nice back in the 1970’s but it is truly showing it’s age. Also, the tv in the bedroom was not functional. Three lamps were not functional because power outlets didn’t work. Most concerning was the door. It was obviously damaged from someone kicking the door in and it was never properly repaired. You couldn’t even use the deadbolt. It was clear that this property has sold many of their units over the years to people as condo/apartments and many didn’t seem to show any pride in ownership. We wanted to stay in the area for three more nights and chose to move to a nicer, nearby hotel for 60% of the cost. Despite the staff at the clubhouse and restaurant being very friendly and courteous, we will not stay here in the future.
George, 5-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Property was clean. Room was great. The pool and restaurant/bar close very early. At 6 pm for the pool and 9 pm for the other. Just seems so odd for a Phoenix area resort. I’ve never experienced that at any other resort I’ve used. Wasn’t able to use any of those amenities due them closing so early. But the room was nice.

Never Again

The room was dirty. They vacume the floors, but clearly do not mop/scrub them. Our feet were filthy if we walked barefoot in the room. The deadbolt on the front door did not work, nor the lampor radio clock between the beds. Shabby, would be a good description. Had I not pre-paid with no refund available, I would have checked out the first day.
Steven, 7-night trip

6/10 Good

I like there was a place by the golf course and the parking was not to far. the staff gave me a room that seamed pretty well taken care of.
