We reserved a room with a/c for a one night stay enjoy the Royal Mile and all it had to offer. We were very disappointed to find the room to be about 90 degrees and no a/c. I returned to the front desk and requested either a room with a/c or a refund. The staff was understanding and moved us to a room with a/c or so we thought. The a/c didn’t work in that room. So we were moved to another room, where the a/c barely worked but thought we would give it an hour or so to cool the room. This process had now taken over 2 hours to this point. We were starving and went across the street for food and would go back to check on the room temperature. An hour an a half later, it’s still very warm in the room. We notify the front desk and come up and advise it’s working properly. They bring up 2 fans. We had friends staying there as well, who literally had to sleep in sweat pants because their room was so cold. Now we’ve waisted more time at the hotel. We try and go see the town before an early flight back out to the states the next morning, just to find the still to be hot. We were very upset at that point! It’s was so nice outside that night, that I thought about sleeping on the street, like a homeless person! I realize it’s not the management’s fault. Maybe a better maintenance staff would go a long ways! Hey maintenance staff, I would probably start by checking the capacitors on your units! And I don’t know that much about a/c’s. We wouldn’t stay here again.
