Excellent location for accessing NYC; we walked everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast is “meh” but will at least get you going for the day (apparently breakfast used to be a lot better…). Staff friendly and helpful. No parking available but we didn’t have a car. Decent New York City hotel for the price.

Arrived on Sunday 2/15 around 11:30 to register for check-in. We were in NYC to take our kids to their first Broadway show. We were told the room was being cleaned but would be ready by the normal 3pm check-in time. We got back from our show at 3:30 with tired kids and our room was still not ready. I checked in with the concierge at 4:15 who said they just started cleaning the room so it would take some time. We were finally able to check into our room around 6:45 after we had dinner. The next morning the concierge said they would reach out to the manager about a refund. I called later that day and was told they were still waiting on a response from the manager. I asked if they would call me back when they had an answer. That was the first time I was asked to give them a call back number. It felt like I was being dismissed the entire time in the hopes I would just forget about it. Room and hotel were nice but I won't be going back.

I wish I could post pictures of the hotel room… it felt so grimy and dirty. The bathroom floor was soft from water damage so the floor around the toilet sunk when you stepped on it plus you can see the floor sunk with you own eyes. The ac didn’t work so the room got terribly hot and no one came to fix it. We had no towels when we arrived and it took hours to get any we’re had to go back down to the concierge. There were stains everywhere on the walls, upholstery and floors. One night I needed to work in the communal space and there was an altercation happen with a man downstairs refusing to leave the hotel. The whole stay was less than ideal.

While the staff was great, the hotel itself didn't match some of the amenities. For example, our room did not have a refrigerator or mini-bar; and the continental breakfast wasn't great. There were mini yogurt cups, mini muffins, mini donuts, mini croissants...all which were stale. Only option to drink was coffee, tea or orange juice. Would have been nice to have fresh fruit. Best part of the hotel was the location...just a few minutes away from Times Square and Broadway theatres! Surroundings were safe to walk at night.

I had booked this hotel for 4 nights, however I had to leave as soon as I arrived. My room smelled strange when I arrived, I opened the windows (in Februarys winter weather) to clear the air. However I found the real problem in the bathroom where the floor tiles were rotten (loose soft vinyl that you could lift) and the shower tiles had no grouting in between. I cannot imagine the amount of old gunk collecting there waiting for my bear feet to stand on. Hopefully nobody gets a cut there. I couldn’t stay. A clean place is the bare minimum.
