Our stay at this property was just OK for the following reasons: We chose this property because of the golf course and booked the 1 BR suite golf villa. In the description on Expedia, it listed a golf view and had a photo of a balcony overlooking the golf course. When we were given our villa number, we checked the location, and it was not golf view. When we inquired at the front desk about this, we were told that they do not guarantee a view only a location in the golf villa area. When offered another villa, we decided to keep the original view which had pool view, and we weren't sure what kind of golf view (if any) the other villa would have had based on the map. Expedia should update their description and photos to reflect this discrepancy. Check in is 4pm which we were aware of but when we checked in at 10:30am we were told to check back soon to see if the villa is ready and that they would notify cleaning that we were checked in already. After checking in multiple times and still being told room was almost ready, we finally got the room after 4pm! If we were not told from the beginning that the room would be available soon, we would have just spent the day at the pool and checked back at 4pm. Also, our villa had no hot water for showers around 5/6pm two of the nights we were there. There were only two of us in the villa and we didn't take showers at same time. The resort itself is very nice- liked the infinity pool, beach walkway, shuttle.

My young adults arrived to the resort for spring break and were treated not so nice. They were told only one room was available when they had two confirmation numbers for two rooms or so they thought. And to make matters worse they were stereotyped. They were challenged multiple times by staff to verify their occupancy. It made me so uncomfortable as a Mom that I booked a room and traveled to Aruba to ensure they were okay. I saw there were not many Black Americans staying there and they were the only Black young adults there. So they shouldn't have had any issues, the staff should know who they were. Upon check out, I told the young lady about these issues and I also told one of the "greeters" to not give these kids a hard time. They are Ivy League students (Columbia and Yale) and respectful kids. And it doesn't matter if they didn't attend college, no one deserves to be treated inhospitable at a Hospitality Resort.
