I enjoyed an excellent 2-night stay at the HGI. The high point was the attitude of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
On the second day, the chair in my room kept slipping making the use of my computer nigh on impossible when I needed to be able to use it.
Thomas, one of the duty staff on the front desk, sent a maintenance guy to my room with a replacement chair within 15 minutes. Job done.
On the same day reasonable accommodation was made by the restaurant staff in the evening to allow me a different table in the restaurant rather then the bar to cater for my arthritis because the original seat was too low and I feared not being able to get up. No debate. No pack drill. They just did it for me. The meal was very good!
The only slightly disappointing feature was the breakfast, which was mass produced, which is understandable given the likely number of guests. It was certainly edible but not as appetising as it might have been.
However, this does not detract from a really enjoyable staff. I had stayed there previously and will certainly stay there again.
